Waking Up In The Night, Running Behind, Pet Sitting and Little Rascals

October 24, 2023

I woke up at 1:20 a.m. my mind was going over and over the Saturday night accident. I wrote my blog to refocus my thoughts. I went back to sleep at 5 a.m. and woke up again at 7 a.m. I knew I would be late for work since I was supposed to be there at 7:30 a.m. I messaged my client that I would be late and she was fine with that. It’s rare that I am ever late. I woke up Angel, we got dressed, I made tea and we were out the door. On the way I stopped and got a chai latte tea with oat milk at a local shop that just opened up. A friend was working there that I hadn’t seen in a while and it was good to see her. Then I got Angel bean tacos for breakfast and made it to work a little after 8 a.m.

I talked to my client awhile and did a good job cleaning. Angel did her schoolwork, learning to count money and phonics. By the time I finished my first job I was over and hour behind schedule because I had talked with my client too long. I skipped my 2nd job scheduled for the day and messaged that client that I would do their cleaning on Monday if that was ok with them. I knew they were out of town for 10 days and they had me checking their mail every couple of days while they were gone. I trusted that they would not mind which day I came as long as it was before they got back and they responded saying they were fine with it.

That put me right on time to do my 3rd job. Angel finished her schoolwork and listened to “The First Four Years” on audio while I cleaned. That job ran long and I was late for my 4th job. I guess I wasn’t meant to be on time today and that was ok. Angel listened to her audiobook while I cleaned at my last job. My client and I had a good talk while I cleaned.

When I finished cleaning, we went to eat supper at Gattis pizza. We had the salad bar and then went to my overnight pet sitting job. We played with the dogs for awhile and fed them. Angel took a bath and I put up the chickens and fed the cows. Then I took a shower and we watched “Little Rascals”. It felt good to sit and laugh at the funny movie with Angel. I needed a good laugh.

When the movie was over, we went to bed and were asleep by 8:30 p.m.

I am grateful for an uneventful day.

I am grateful for my clients.

I am grateful for laughter.

I am grateful for salad.

I am grateful for fun movies.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I dearly appreciate you.

Love,

Victoria
