Cleaning, Pet Sitting and TV Addiction

Tuesday April 2, 2024

Dear Diary,

I woke up at 5 AM. I had slept through the night and had great dreams. The bed I was sleeping in at my pet sitting job was really comfortable. I laid in bed and wrote my blog until 6:15 AM. I got up, made my bed and got dressed. Then I headed home. Christopher was up and about when I arrived but Angel was still sleeping. She was staying home while I cleaned houses since Christopher didn’t have to work today. I made tea and smoothies and headed to town.

I had a lot of energy and the first 2 houses I cleaned went by quickly. While cleaning, I listened to a sermon by Andrew Wommack called “It’s Not a Faith Problem, It’s Unbelief”. It was a fantastic sermon and I really enjoyed it. It was exactly what I desired to hear and a lot was revealed to me about things I had been searching for in my spiritual journey.

I had extra time before going to clean my 3rd house, so I went and got my oil changed. My new fancy truck had been telling me it was time to change my oil and I decided this was a great time to get it done. I used to do my own oil changes but where I live now I don’t have a good area to do it that’s not in the dirt. Plus my new truck has a skid plate that’s hard to get off and it’s such a luxury to have it done for me. After the oil change I had still had extra time, so I went through the car wash and did a quick run to the store.

At my 3rd house, I had a great conversation my friend who’s house I was cleaning. She loves to travel too and we talked about our up coming trips and events going on in our little town. When I finished cleaning her house, I headed home. As soon as I got home, Angel came running up to the truck and wanted me to go on a walk in the woods with her. I told her I had to get to my pet sitting job and I would have to do it another day. Then she wanted me to jump on the trampoline with her. Again I told her I would have to do it another day. I was tired from cleaning all day and I really wanted to get to my pet sitting job to check on the animals. I did not like putting her off, it didn’t feel good. I realized later on that I could have quickly jumped on the trampoline with her and I plan to do that in the future.

I greeted Christooher and went in the house. I made a salad and packed clothes for in the morning. Right as I was about to leave I decided to bring my hammock. I folded it up with its frame and put it in the back of the pickup. My pet sitting job is not very far down the dirt road, about 10 minutes away. When I arrived, I checked on the animals and fed them. Then I set up my hammock and laid in it. I fell asleep for a half hour and woke up feeling cold. It was a blustery day and the wind was chilly. Even though I had a levi jacket on, the cold wind had gotten to me.

I went in the house determined to not watch the TV tonight like I did last night. In the house, the big screen was calling to me and I allowed it to suck me in. I decided I would watch but I would make sure it was a good movie this time. I turned it on and picked out a western. It started out ok but then got yucky and mean. I tried fast forwarding through the yucky parts but decided to just let it go and move on. I chose another movie. This movie was better but was still not the kind of energy I wanted for myself. It snagged me and I watched it all the way to the end. TV is so addicting! I’m so glad I don’t have a TV at home. There was one good thing about TV watching, I got to snuggle up with the dogs. Though, I could have done that without the TV. I could have snuggled up with them while writing my blog.
When the movie was over, I took a bath and went straight to bed. I fell asleep right away at around 10:30 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I dearly appreciate you.

Love,

Victoria
