I awoke at 12 a.m. and wrote my blog until 1:30 a.m. At 5:07 a.m. I awoke for the day.
I love mornings. I love that I get a whole day everyday to be and do. My morning routine of praying thanksgivings and gratitudes, rebounder, greeting Christopher, having tea and making a smoothie for lunch went good. I left for work early to go to the grocery store and took the back roads to town. The drive was slow paced and relaxing. I did not meet up with one other car until I got to town. The grocery store was quiet with not very many people there that early in the morning. I got what I needed and drove to my first job.
I arrived to work right on time. My thoughts were happy and light as I worked and created a masterpiece of cleanness. When I finished, I drove up the road to my next job. When I finished my 2nd job, I had free time to go get a chai tea from Moon Brew, which I had ordered ahead of time. My tea was ready when I arrived. As always it was great to see my friends there and we had a great conversation about living a purposeful life and listening. I left Moon Brew and walked to the bookstore where I got another chai tea, bought some Christmas gifts and had a great conversation with the owner about shopping locally and community. Next, I walked to the library, renewed Angels library books and talked to the head librarian about an event I am hosting there for The Kay Theater on Friday. On my way back to my truck, I stopped in at the MDD office and said hello to a friend that works there.
My next job was at a friends house. We talked about theater and travel and cats while I worked. She is getting ready to go on a trip to Antarctica, which sounds amazing and cold. After finishing there, I drove to my last job and enjoyed making their house sparkling clean. I was glad when work was over and I headed home. Christopher was ready to leave to go spend time with his friends when I arrived. He helped me bring in groceries and headed out. I talked with Angel about her day and what she learned in school. She had learned about ducks and told me how to tell a girl duck from a boy duck by the curl of its back tail feather. We ate supper and took a bath. In the bath we practiced singing together Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer that we will be singing at an event December 9th. After our bath I herded our new ducks into their coop for the night. They were so cute waddling around making duck noises. Angel and I watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer since it was fresh on our minds. Then we went to bed and fell asleep listening to The Boxcar Children.
I am grateful for mornings.
