Choosing Positive Thoughts, Wonderful Clients and Community

November 15, 2023

Around 12:30 a.m. I woke up and wrote my blog until 3:00 a.m. I went back to sleep listening to The Power of Positive Thinking by Normal Vincent Peale. At 5:27 a.m. I woke up again. Angel woke up when I was doing a full body relaxation session and praying my thanksgivings and gratitudes. Little Bit got excited about Angel waking up. He jumped back and forth across our beds licking our faces while we laughed. What a great way to start the day.

The kitchen was warm and inviting when we entered it. Christopher was making breakfast. Angel ate and I made tea and we got ready to leave for work. We arrived at my first cleaning job right on time. Angel did her schoolwork while I cleaned. By the time I finished cleaning 2 hours later, Angel had completely finished another one of her phonics workbooks. I am glad she is getting more self motivated to get her schoolwork done. At my next cleaning job she watched to episodes of Spirit on YouTube as a reward for finishing her workbook.

On our way to my next job delivering papers, we stopped at Moon River Coffee to get tea. As always, it was an amazing experience going into Moon River. I had wonderful uplifting conversations with my friends that work there. Next we stopped at the library to get more Hank the Cowdog books to read during family time at night. I talked with the head librarian while I was there about a First Friday Coffee event in December that I’m in charge of hosting representingThe Kay Theater. Angel stayed at the Rockdale reporter while I did my paper route. I had many great conversations with people along the route. I love people so much.

I thoroughly enjoyed my last job of the day. Angel watched Little House on the Prairie on the tv. I did an extra good job cleaning and had fun conversations with my clients.  She had a lot of questions about my blog and my life in general. I was happy to share and answer her questions. They are very kind thoughtful people and it is a  blessing to work for them. I was enjoying our conversation so much that I stayed and talked for a while after I finished cleaning.

As soon as we arrived home, Christophervwas juicing pineapple and while he was ate it he juiced the blackberries my friend gave me. The juice turned out amazingly delicious.

I went for a walk in the woods with the dogs. It was a quick walk to the gulley and back. Christopher had a bath ready and I relaxed in the hot water for a while until Angel joined me. Supper was ready when we got out. I had a big salad that Christopher had lovingly made me and we all shared what we were grateful for. When we finished eating, Angel and I left to go to Bible study at the Cowboy Church. Bible study was about being thankful and having the ability to choose our thoughts. I am amazed at how I keep getting the same message over and over about choosing my thoughts and focusing on what I do want rather than what I don’t want. It’s been a very rewarding putting this into practice.

When Bible study was over I stopped at the grocery store and bought honey for a friend who requested it. She is not feeling her best and wanted honey to make herself a turmeric drink. From my friends house it was convenient to drive the back way home, which I was happy about. It was fun driving the back way in the dark, mysterious and slow paced.

When we arrived home we said good night to Christopher and went straight to bed. We fell asleep listening to Boxcar Children.
