Homeschool, Story Time, Fairy Village and Bible Study

November 8, 2023

I woke up at 12:30 am and read “Firefly Lane” until 2:30 am. I went back to sleep and woke up again at 6 am. I did a full body relaxation session, then prayed my thanksgivings and gratitudes. I got up and made tea. Angel woke up and ate her breakfast. I started Angel doing school and Christopher left for work. Angel worked on phonics, writing and reading. Then she took a break, cleaned her room and we went to town.

In town I parked at the Rockdale reporter and we walked a few blocks to Moon River coffee to get a chai tea for me and honey water for Angel. Then we walked to the library for story time. Story time was fun. The woman reading the stories was great and Angel enjoyed listening to them. When it was over, Angel picked out a book to read out loud to me. I am seeing a lot of improvement with her reading.

We walked back to the Rockdale Reporter and I talked with friends that work there until the newspapers arrived. Angel stayed at the reporter while I did the paper route. The route went really good and I enjoyed myself. When I finished, I retrieved Angel and ran an errand bringing a food donation from a local restaurant to Street Ministries. Then we headed home.

At home, Angel and I gathered up items to take out into the woods to add to our fairy villages. It was wonderful being in the woods. I felt so peaceful and happy. We added to our fairy villages and I worked with the dogs on their commands. When we got back to the house, we sat outside and I read “Winnie the Pooh and Some Bees” and “Piglet Meets a Heffalump” out loud to Angel while our bath filled up. We took a long bath together. Angel stayed in and I got out to get ready for a coaching client phone call.

The coaching session went really good. Christopher had fed Angel supper while I talked with my client. When the session ended, I got ready to leave with Angel. We left and stopped at some friends for a few minutes. Then we drove and picked up my grandson Finn to stay overnight. We went to Bible study at the Cowboy Church. The kids had a lot of fun and I got a lot out of the adult class.

When Bible study was over, we had a safe drive home. We listened to “Farmer Boy” on the drive. At home, we got ready for bed and said our good nights. I did 100 jumps on the rebounder and read “Firefly Lane” until I fell asleep at 9 pm.
