I woke up at 1 am and read “Firefly Lane” until 3 am. I woke again at 6 am. I felt rested. I prayed my thanksgivings and said my gratitudes. I got up and made tea. I talked to Christopher while I got ready for work. He was staying home today and working on the plumbing. Angel was staying home with him. I had extra time before work, so I went on a walk in the woods with Angel and the dogs. Even with the morning walk, I left extra early for work and drove the back roads to town. I thoroughly enjoyed going at a slower pace and took in all of the beautiful scenery as I drove along. I really enjoy going 30 mph way more than I enjoy going 70 mph.
I arrived at my first job right on time. I enjoyed cleaning and briefly talked with my clients. I had some free time before my next job so I stopped at Moon River Coffee and had my usual chai tea. I hung out for an hour or so and talked with some friends that work there. Then I went to The Kay Theater to give it a good cleaning. I cleaned while a friend who was there got a painting bid and straightening up. She left and I finished cleaning. It needed a good cleaning and I was having so much fun getting it sparkling clean that I lost track of time. I was almost finished when I looked at the time. I was late for my next job. I sent her a message and finished up the last little bit.
My last job of the day went great. It flowed really smoothly and even with doing an extra thorough vacuuming job, I finished right on time. After work, I make a couple of quick stops and headed home. Christopher left to go spend the evening with his friends as soon as I arrived home. Angel and I did a few chores, then we took the side by side across the highway to visit with a friend. Angel sorted toys to earn money while my friend and I talked. We stayed for an hour. Angel earned $2, she did a good job sorting the toys.
At home we took a bath and got ready for bed. We each jumped 100 jumps on the rebounder. I read 2 chapters out loud from “Hank the Cowdog” book 3. Then I wrote my blog while Angel worked on a craft project. We fell asleep listening to “Hank the Cowdog” book 6 on audio.
I am grateful for back roads.
I am grateful for a slow paced day.
I am grateful for friends.
I am grateful for great work.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I dearly appreciate you.
Love,
Victoria
