I woke up at 2:30 am. Angel’s dog Chance threw up all over the side of her trundle bed. I put him out and cleaned it up. He kept whining to come back in out of the rain and cold. I told him to go in the bike shed but he wanted back in the warm banana hut. I figured he was done throwing up so I let him back in. He promptly threw up again all over the end of Angel’s bed. I put him out again and cleaned it up. He was crying and crying to be let in. Finally, I put him in the kennel and went back to sleep at 5:30 am. I woke up to get ready for work at 6:15 am.
I prayed my list of thank you’s and said my gratitudes. Then I got ready for work. I talked to Christopher and told him about Chance throwing up. Christopher said he would get all the bedding washed since he had the day off of work. Angel was still asleep when I left. It was a dark, cold and rainy morning. I took my time getting to work even though it would put me behind schedule.
My first and second job went great. I had some good talks with my clients. My 3rd job also went great. My clients were not there so I listened to “The Secrets of the Mystic East” by Anthony Norvell on audio while I cleaned.
When I finished with my cleaning jobs, I stopped at the Mainstreet bookstore. I ordered a chai tea and bought a book called “Firefly Lane” by Kristin Hannah. I talked with Meggins the owner of the book store for a while about seeing the good in the world and seeing the good in people while trusting fully in your intuition and responding wisely. It was a beautiful conversation and I am grateful for it.
I left the bookstore and did a pet sitting job, checking on the animals for friends. When I arrived home, I said hello to Angel and Christopher. I asked how Chance was doing and Christopher said he was doing good….like nothing happened. Then I relaxed in the banana hut and wrote my blog and read some of my new book until supper time. I had a big salad for supper. We all shared our gratitudes around the table as a family. Christopher and Angel shared their adventure of going to Walker Honey Farm early today. After supper, my daughter in love, came to pick up Angel. Her, her son (my grandson Finn) and Angel were all having a sleepover at my 23 year old daughters house. The next day they would take the kids trick or treating.
After Angel left, I took a bath, then read in the banana hut until Christopher came in. I had a couple of book arrive in the mail earlier. One was “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” by Robin Sharma. I read the first 3 chapters out loud to Christopher. He really liked it. We said our good nights and went to bed. I fell asleep around 8:30 pm.
