Cleaning, Wasp Sting, Fountains and Organizing

Dear Diary,

I woke up at 2:30 am. I laid in bed and didn’t fall asleep again until 4:30 am. I dreamed of being kidnapped in my truck and calling 911 on my phone. The kidnappers didn’t try to stop me from calling the police and when I told them the police were on their way, they parked the truck and ran off.

I woke again at 5:15 am. I jumped out of bed and went into the house. Christopher was just getting up and Angel was still asleep. I got her up and she got dressed while I made tea and a smoothie. Christopher quickly made her a breakfast to go and a lunch. We made it out the door at 5:35 am. and headed to my first cleaning opportunity.

Angel did her schoolwork while I cleaned. She was very cooperative and seemed to even be enjoying herself. I did a deep cleaning per my clients request. I got behind and under the refrigerator and wiped down all the ceiling fans and baseboards. Angel finished all her required schoolwork for the day before I finished and she was happy to get to play on her phone.

My next house is for sale, my client now lives with his children in Houston and they asked me to come touch up the house every couple of weeks. An estate sale company had been there and all the furnitures and household items were priced to sell. I felt sadness thinking about all my clients things being sold. He was such a neat man and had always been very kind to me. I cleaned around all the items for sale and cleaned up after the estate sale people.

At my 3rd house, I didn’t do my regular cleaning. My client/friend wanted me to wash her brand new front windows inside and out and put up the blinds. Angel sat in the front room playing on her phone while I did my cleaning. While washing the outside windows I came across some wasps building a nest between a couple of the window frames. I used a long object to knock the nest down. Thinking I was far enough away I stood there waiting for the wasps to clear out. Suddenly I realized that I wasn’t far enough away and the wasps were coming at me. I turned to run and one wasp landed on my neck. I swiped at it as I ran but it stung me before I got it off. I went in the house and told my client/friend there were wasps out there and I got stung by one on the neck. She asked if I needed anything to put on it. I told her it would be fine. I don’t get a bad reaction from wasp stings. She went into her garage and got some wasp spray. The wasps were already starting to rebuild their nest in the same spot. I didn’t want to kill them but I needed to get to the windows to wash them, so I sprayed a little bit. It was enough to chase the wasps off and they didn’t come back. I continued washing the windows and when they were sparkling clean inside and out, my client/friend and I hung up her blinds together. The windows and blinds looked really good when we finished.

I went to the store and got some produce before my last cleaning opportunity since I was a little bit ahead of schedule. My last house went good and Angel played on her phone some more while I cleaned. I stopped at Moon Brew on the way home and got a tea. I visited with my friend Rita who was working there. We had a great conversation about loving our children.

When we arrived home, Bits was super excited to see me. I greeted Christopher and we talked while I opened up some Amazon packages that had been delivered to me. They were fountain pumps I had ordered, a big one and a little one. The big one didn’t come with any tubing. I would have to get some before I could use it. I took the little one out to my big fountain to try it out but it wasn’t powerful enough to push the water up to the top. I will use it for my little fountain in front of the banana hut but I want to get a bigger water container for it first. So basically, both fountains still need work to get going. I moved on to my next project of organizing my cleaning supply bin the back of the truck. That project I was able to complete and I was happy with the results.

I rested on the couch in the house and wrote my blog until it was time for dinner. Christopher said his mom asked us to bring her dinner tonight and since I wasn’t hungry, I offered to take it to her. I drove the side-x-side over there and dropped off her food. We chatted for a few minutes and had some good laughs.

When I got home, I took a shower and Christopher showered after me. We all gathered in the banana hut for story-time. I read one chapter from Stormy, Misty’s Foal. We said our goodnights, then Angel and Christopher went in the house. I opened all the windows in the banana hut since it had cooled off and the temperature was in the 70’s. I love sleeping with the windows open. I wrote my blog and fell asleep at around 8:30 pm.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of our lives. I appreciate you.

Love,

Victoria
