Joyful Cleaning and Christmas Wrapping

December 2, 2023

I woke up from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.  I wrote my blog and slept until 5:30 a.m. I prayed my thanksgivings and gratitudes.

Dear God,

Thank you for another day. I am grateful to be alive.

Thank you for community. I am grateful for my family and friends.

Thank you for work. I am grateful to give and receive.

Thank you for a warm house. I am grateful for shelter.

Thank you for breath. I am grateful for each breath I take.

Thank you for the sunshine. I am grateful for its light.

Thank you for patience. I am grateful to practice it.

Amen

I went in the kitchen, greeted Christopher and got ready for work. I headed out early to get started, Christopher and Angel would join me a little later on. Christopher helps do office buildings with me every other Saturday. I listened to uplifting music on the drive there and got started cleaning when I arrived. When I clean, I think good thoughts about the people I’m cleaning for. I radiate love as I make everything look beautiful and sparkly. Doing this keeps my thoughts on the good and brings me joy. Christopher arrived with Angel, we worked as a team cleaning while Angel played with Little Bit.

When we finished up Angel came with me to the farmers market which was a craft show today. There was all kinds of neat things people had made. Angel and I bought a few items and went across the street to Moon Brew to get a chai tea. It was busy in there today which was great. I love seeing small businesses doing well. I said hello to my friends and headed off to my next job. It was a residential job and Angel hadn’t been there before. My client took Angel out to see their horses, then she listened to The Boxcar Children while I cleaned. After a job well done we headed home. I drank a smoothie on the way home.

At home, I did chores and talked with Christopher a while. Then, I took a nice hot bath. I was going to go to an event in town but I decided that I was staying home for the evening. I went in the banana hut and got all of the Christmas presents I had already bought down from the attic. I started wrapping them until it was time for supper. Christopher made me a big salad for supper and it was delicious. We all shared what we were grateful for around the table and had fun conversations. After cleaning up the supper dishes I straightened up the Christmas explosion that had taken over the banana hut so we all could have room to sit while we did our family reading time. Angel read Fox in Socks out loud and I read two chapters from Hank the Cowdog book 4. Then we all said our good nights. Christopher and Angel went in the house and I went back to wrapping Christmas presents. It was great fun and I finished it all at around 11:00 p.m. I got in bed, did a full body relaxation session and went to sleep.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I dearly appreciate you.

Love,

Victoria
