Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for apartments.
- Thank you for hammocks.
- Thank you for deep sleep.
- Thank you for sand dunes.
- Thank you for help.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 3AM, I wrote my blog and posted it. I slept more from 5AM to 8AM.
I laid in the hammock basking in the deep sleep feeling and knowing I had time to have a relaxing morning. Angel woke up and she said she was hungry. I got up and started taters cooking on the stove. I was nice to have a real stove to cook on rather than a single burner. Angel had trouble finding her clothes and we had to search around to find the boxes they were in.
While Angel ate her breakfast, I rearranged things in the kitchen attempting to figure out where I want to put everything. I’m excited about organizing my new apartment and finding a spot for all my stuff.
I got together my hair cutting kit and we went to my first clients house. My client and I had talked on the phone yesterday and he wanted to know if I could cut his hair. I told him that I could but it has been a while and I’m not a professional. He said that was fine.
When we arrived, Angel sat and did her schoolwork at the table. Bits and my clients dog Mogi ran around playing. Mogi is a border collie, her and Bits are great friends. I got started cutting my clients hair and I really enjoyed it. I used to cut my dad’s hair for him when he was still alive and this reminded me of those times with my dad. I gave my client a nice cut and he looked so handsome. He’s in his late 80’s and still has a full head of hair. He looked in the mirror and was happy with how it looked but wanted it even shorter. I cut it shorter and he said it looked just right. Feeling accomplished, I cleaned up and we left.
I stopped at the grocery store on the way to my next opportunity. Then we drove way out in the country. I am still feeling in awe of the views where I now live. It’s so incredibly beautiful up here. I am in love with the mountains. They have my heart.
At my clients, Angel did her schoolwork. My client had me do a bunch of cleaning, laundry and organizing all around the house. Then I cooked him some food. I was there for 3 hours and I got a lot done. As I was finishing up, Aaron called and we had a short talk.
I drove back to Council to my camper. I got almost all of the last of my stuff and brought it to the apartment. Then I laid down and took a 2 hour nap. I slept hard and must have really needed the rest. When I woke, Angel was hungry for dinner. I made it for her, then I put together a shelf to put in the bathroom.
We walked over to my older sisters and I started laundry washing. Angel stayed there while I cleaned the bank. When I got back, I switched laundry and talked to Aaron on the phone while Angel and my sister played video games. When our laundry was dry, we walked to the apartment. Angel washed dishes and watched a movie while I was still talking on the phone.
When I hung up, I took a long hot shower and we went to bed. I put on a sleep meditation and wrote down my blog notes. We went to sleep at around 11PM.

Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for tables.
- Thank you for gifts.
- Thank you for gratitude.
- Thank you for joy.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 5AM. I wrote my blog and by the time I finished, it was time to get up. I took a long hot shower and it was heavenly. I made Angel her breakfast and woke her up. While she ate I made myself tea and a smoothie. We got in the truck with Remy-the kitten and Bits, of course. Then we drove over to Aaron’s to pick him up. He was helping me pick up an antique oak table that was given to me.
Aaron was ready to go when I pulled up to his place and I drove us out to Mesa where the table was located. When we got there, we all chatted for a few minutes. I looked underneath the table and saw that it came apart easily by unscrewing 4 wing nuts. Aaron and I took it apart and that made it simple to put in the bed of the truck. The people giving me the table also gave me a nice set of silverware. The silverware had the same pattern on it as the silverware my family had when I was a kid. I thought that was neat. I thanked them for their generosity and drove to the apartment.
Aaron helped me bring the table upstairs and put it back together. We moved it to different locations before deciding where to put it. Aaron added his input on where he thought it would look the best and I appreciated him expressing his opinion.

Angel rode her bicycle to jujitsu and I took Aaron home. We stood outside his place talking for a while, one of his dogs had gotten out and wouldn’t come when he called him. I left and drove home, just as I turned the corner to the apartment building, I saw Aaron’s dog Buster walking towards the alley. I stopped the truck and called Buster. He came running over, I opened the truck door and he jumped inside. I drove Buster over to Aaron’s and Aaron told me that he had just started to look online to see if anyone had found him. I was wondering if Buster had followed Aaron’s scent to my apartment building but it was good that he was found.
My organizing opportunity for today canceled and that gave me the chance to do my own organizing at the apartment. Angel rode home from jujitsu. I like that she can ride her bicycle to do things now that we live in town. Jujitsu and the library are only 2 blocks away. I fed Angel lunch and we played a few games of What’s the Point. Then I organized some more.
Angel took a long shower and we went to the skating rink. My friend Camille had rented the skating rink for the day for the homeschool co-op. I skated a little but I was still really sore from moving and I didn’t skate very long. I left Angel at the skating rink with the other moms and I went to get a few things from the Thrifty Store. Then I started organizing the apartment some more and lost track of time. Camille messaged me letting me know that Angel was wondering where I was. I drove to the skating rink and hung out until the skating event was over at 5PM.
We stopped at the grocery store. Then I took a nap while Angel played on her Nintendo switch. When I woke up, I fed her dinner and we went to Girls Club. The leader of Girls Club as well as Camille and I took the girls on a field trip to a farm to see baby lambs and puppies. While the kids were looking at the animals, Camille and I walked around and enjoyed the beautiful sky and sunset over the mountains.

When we got back from the field trip. All the girls got picked up by their parents and Angel and I went to the camper to get my tools that I had stored underneath. Then we stopped at the grocery store again and went home. I talked on the phone with Aaron for a while. Then Angel and I showered and went to bed. I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. We went to sleep at around 11PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
