Tuesday: Cleaning Opportunities and RV’s

Tuesday January 7, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for good sleep.
  • Thank you for all my needs being met at all times.
  • Thank you for sunshine.
  • Thank you for Angel.

I love you!

I awoke at 12:30 am. I played wordle and connections and wrote my blog. I wrote 3 days of my blog and mostly got caught up on writing.

At 4 am I put on a sleep meditation and slept again until 7 am. I looked at rv’s on my phone for a while. Then I woke Angel up and made her a quesadilla for breakfast. For myself, I made tea and packed up leftover smoothie to take with me. Angel and I got ready to go.

My first cleaning opportunity was one block away and we walked there. Angel did school while I cleaned. When it was time for jujitsu, Angel left and walked 2 blocks to the recreation center. I finished cleaning and sat talking with my client for a few minutes. I told her about needing to find an RV to move into and we had a great talk about living by faith.

I walked home and got my truck. I dropped off recycling at the recycling center. Then I dropped off donations at the thrift store and drove to jujitsu. Angel seemed to be enjoying jujitsu as I watched the last 20 minutes of her class.

After jujitsu, we drove to McCall to do a couple of cleaning opportunities. I had cleaned for this client one other time. I arrived right on time at 1pm. As I was unloading my cleaning supplies, my client sent me a text saying “are you coming?????”. I looked at the time and it was 1:02 pm. Angel and I walked up to her door and knocked. She hollered for us to come in. We went inside and my client was sitting on the couch, her hair was messed up and she was drinking a glass of wine and smoking a cigarette. She was slurring and told me that she had just texted me. I told her that I saw it. She asked if I could go to the store and post office for her and I said yes. She also asked me to strip her bed and wash her sheets. I pulled the sheets off and started them in the wash. Then my client gave me her debit card and said she wanted two boxes of wine from the store, the same kind as the box on her kitchen counter. I took a picture of the box and wasn’t sure about leaving Angel there with someone who was obviously drunk. Angel was happily watching cartoons and I figured she would be ok since the post office and store were right down the road. I told Angel to call me if she needed anything and drove down the road to the post office. I got my clients mail out of her p.o. box. The store was next to the post office and I went in and quickly bought the wine.

When I got back, I gave my client her receipt and mail. I put the boxes off wine on the counter and switched the laundry. I got busy cleaning and when I finished, the sheets were dry. I put her sheets on the bed but I could not remember in what order her blankets had been and she had a lot of blankets. I asked my client in what order to put her blankets and she said it didn’t matter. I made her bed and got ready to go. The job had taken me longer than I had scheduled and I was late for my next cleaning opportunity. Thankfully my next cleaning was not time sensitive and that client was ok with me getting there later.

When we left, I was happy to get out of the smoke filled house. I didn’t want to clean for that lady anymore if she was going to be smoking with Angel and myself in the house. If she calls me again, I will tell her that I can’t be around cigarette smoke in a closed up house. I have a feeling I won’t be cleaning for her again though and I’m fine with that.

My next cleaning opportunity went great. My client wasn’t there and she told me over the phone that she was really happy with my last cleaning and was grateful to have found me. I told her the feeling was mutual and I appreciated the opportunity to help her out.

We arrived home at around 6 pm. I talked to my sister for a while. We looked at RV’s online and I called about one that was a great price. The guy said that it was in really good shape and I made an appointment for me to look at it tomorrow in McCall. My sister was happy about that. She has been very generous and kind letting us stay at her place but it is difficult on her having us there. I want her to have her space back before it gets to be too much for her.

Angel and I went to bed. Angel read Green Eggs and Ham to me while I wrote my blog notes. Then we looked at Rv’s online together and went to sleep at around 9 pm.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria

P.S. this blog post was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
