More Juice, Flex and Flow and Another Long Day

Tuesday February 27, 2024

I woke up at midnight and wrote my blog until 3 a.m. I woke up again at 5:30 a.m. Unlike yesterday morning, this morning I woke up feeling fully rested. I remembered to pray my thanksgivings and gratitudes:

  • I am grateful for rest. Thank you for good sleep.
  • I am grateful for a new day. Thank you that I am alive.
  • I am grateful for beautiful weather. Thank you for the gift of spring.

I got up and went into the house. I greeted Christopher and fed the puppy and Little Bit their homemade food. I feed them first thing every morning but haven’t shared that on my blog until now. I made my tea and smoothies and started juicing all the produce I received yesterday. I made a gallon of strawberry juice and a half gallon of grape juice and 3/4 gallon of grape/plum/kiwi juice. We still had a gallon of pineapple juice in the fridge, so there is no shortage of juice at our place. When I finished juicing and cleaning up, it was time to leave.

I arrived at my first house right on time. I got Angel started on her schoolwork. She was working on phonics today. She tried getting out of doing it and hemmed and hawed and fought doing it with all her might. I lost my patience with her after a while and told her that enough was enough. I told her that she was not getting out of doing her schoolwork period and she could take all day to do it if she wanted but she wasn’t going to get to do anything else until it was done. Finally she quit resisting, got a flow going and actually seemed to be enjoying it.

My next house was my friend Kim’s. Angel finished all of her lessons without complaint. I cleaned part of the house and then Kim and I went to a flex and flow class which was part yoga and part strength training. Angel and Little Bit stayed with Kim’s husband while we went to class. The class was fantastic. I really enjoyed it and I plan to start going to it every other week with Kim. With the Monday night and Wednesday night classes that I just started doing and now every other week Tuesday morning classes, that’s a good amount of yoga. I’m really glad I’m doing yoga again. It’s so good for my body and mind.

When class was over, we stopped at Moon Brew and got some tea. I apologized to my friend working there about my negative energy the day before. She said she didn’t even notice. I don’t know how she could not have noticed, but I’m glad my negativity hadn’t spread. This morning I received clarity about what to do when I experience a bad mood. When I get like that, all I have to do is pray and ask to be shown why the negativity is coming forward and how to best release it. Then rest in faith knowing that I will receive an answer. Ask and it is given.

We went back to Kim’s house and Angel had fun why we were gone. Kim’s husband had fed her oatmeal and fruit and let her watch TV. Little Bit also had fun, he played with their dogs, Chance (who used to be ours) and Sophia. I finished cleaning Kim’s and headed to my next house. Angel listened to a Bobbsey Twin book while I cleaned. I only have one more time of cleaning this house because my client is moving. It’s one of my favorite houses to clean and I’m sorry it is ending. I don’t plan on finding a new house to replace it. I’m focused on getting more clients for my pet sitting business and easing up on cleaning.

At my 3rd and last house of the day, Angel listened to her audiobook some more. My clients were home and we chatted some while I cleaned. When I finished making the house beautiful and sparkling clean, my body felt tired. It had been an all day work out and once I sat down in the truck to drive home, I didn’t want to have to get up again for a long time.

I drank the last of my smoothies on the drive home, I’d been drinking my smoothies throughout the day. We listened to Angel’s audiobook on some of the drive and then I talked to my son Shawn on the phone until I got home. He had ankle surgery on Friday and I wanted to know how he was doing. He’s tired of sitting around but his recovery is going well. When I arrived home, I got off the phone and had to convince myself to get out of the truck. I felt so tired, it was difficult to get my legs moving. Thanks to my strong willpower, I managed to get moving and went in the house. I talked to Christopher for a few minutes and got into the bath he had ready for me. I fully relaxed in the water and it felt really really good. After a while Christopher came out and told me dinner was ready. Reluctantly I got out, went in the house and ate a big salad for dinner. We had fun conversations while we ate and shared what we were grateful for. Then Angel and I started packing for our trip to Tucson Thursday. We are going to visit my half sister and I am looking forward to it. Little Bit is coming too. After I packed, I put the chickens up for the night and went into the banana hut. I jumped 100 rebounder jumps and wrote some of my blog while I waited for Christopher and Angel to join me for family story time. While waiting I became too tired to read and when they made it over, I told them I wasn’t going to read tonight and that I was going to bed early. We talked briefly and said our good nights. Angel slept on the trundle bed next to me and we fell asleep at around 7:30 p.m. listening to a Bobbsey Twins audiobook.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I dearly appreciate you.

Love,

Victoria
