November 7-19: Moving and New Cats

November 7, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for hot springs.
  • Thank you for indoor plumbing.
  • Thank you for YouTube.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke in the night and posted my blog. I slept more and woke again at 7:30 AM. I made Angel breakfast and made myself a smoothie and tea. I went over to my friend TJ’s and gave the chickens some grits that were delivered yesterday. Then I went to a cleaning opportunity, where I put up some blinds and cleaned out a couple of chicken coops.

When I got back to the apartment, I walked to the thrift store but didn’t buy much because I didn’t want to have more junk to move. I laid down and took a nap that was a short one due to not turning off my phone and text messages coming through and my neighbor knocking on my door.

I got up and played What’s the Point with Angel. We played that game a lot last winter but haven’t played much over the summer. It’s that time of year where we get to trade in exploring the mountains for board games and card games, oh and of course, hot springs.

My neighbor came over again, now that I was awake, we talked for a while. After she left, I went over to the new house where pastor Amy’s husband was working on the plumbing. All seemed to be going well and there was nothing I could do to help so Angel and I went to Zims and swam for a couple hours. I stretched and fully relaxed my body in the warm mineral water.

When we got home, Angel went to a friends and I cleaned the bank. Then I went to bed and wrote my blog notes. I went to sleep at around 10:30 PM.

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for back pain.
  • Thank you for assistance.
  • Thank you for humbleness.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I was awake for a couple of hours in the night where I prayed, meditated and wrote some. I slept more and awoke again at 8AM. I made tea and breakfast for Angel. Then I walked to the bank and cleaned it. When I got home, I started packing when suddenly my back kinked up and I could hardly move. I managed to lay down on the daybed and get into a relaxed state but my back would not release. I wasn’t sure what I had done to it because I hadn’t been lifting anything heavy. I went into panic mode because I was moving this weekend and how could I do that with a hurt back. I did some deep breathing and allowed the anxious feelings to flow without giving them much importance. Then I called my neighbor and she said she would be over to help me. I then called my older sister and she said she had some stuff that would help.

My neighbor arrived with a huge back massager and shortly after that my sister arrived and dropped off some CBD oil and a muscle relaxing rub. I thanked my sister and she left. My neighbor massaged my back for a long time. I was really grateful for the love and care. I told her thank you and she told me to rest. My back was feeling a little better and I laid fully relaxed for a long time.

Then a friend came over to help me pack. I gently and carefully helped with the light stuff and we got a lot done. I was grateful for the help and thanked her.

Moving around seemed to loosen up my back and it started feeling even better. Later in the day, my friend JJ met me at the new house and we got some of the kitchen cupboards wiped out and cleaned. Then I went back to the apartment and went to bed early at 7 PM.

  • Thank you for rest.
  • Thank you for breath.
  • Thank you for faith.
  • Thank you for love.

Dear Diary,

Moving day!! My neighbor and a friend came over in the morning and helped me start packing and we took a load over to the new house. My back was still sore and I was taking it as easy as I could.

We took a break for church, we went to the Nazarene church for the singing and went to the Assembly of God church for play practice. When I got home, 2 guys from the Nazarene church came over and helped with moving. We took a couple loads over before they had to get home. Just as they were leaving, my friends husband came over and so did another friend with her kids. They all helped load stuff and unload it all at the new house.

Before I knew it, everything was moved. My neighbor who is 80 years old had been there all day helping pack boxes. A couple of friends came to the new house and helped unpack some boxes and get us settled in. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for all the help I received and told everyone much thank you.

Angel and her friend went to our empty apartment to get Sweetie Alabama but came back saying that they couldn’t find her anywhere. She is always hanging around the apartment outside, she likes to be outside more than inside. I walked over and couldn’t find her either. I walked back to our new house and made Angel dinner which was complicated because I couldn’t find anything. After eating, I walked over to look for Sweetie again and there she was right out in front of the apartment. I brought her home and we put her in Angels room with the litter box and food and water. After a couple of days we will let her out.

I called a few people and we set up our beds. Then we went to sleep right away at around 10:30 PM.

November 10, 2025

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for friends.
  • Thank you for a beautiful home.
  • Thank you for healing.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

Today I was blessed with more help. A friend came over and helped me line all of my kitchen cupboards. Pastor Amy’s husband fixed my brand new kitchen faucet by blowing it out with his air compressor. Then he cleaned the chimney and fixed a hole in the carport roof.

The rest of the day was spent unpacking and putting things away. I like my house to be in order and having half of everything I own in boxes is not going to last long. I will have the house put together quickly at the rate I’m going. Then I can focus on something else.

In the evening, I built a fire in the wood stove and we sat in front of it enjoying the warmth and watching the fire. The house was coming along and I had the kitchen and living room mostly done. Sweetie Alabama had gotten out of Angel’s room but she was already adjusted to her new home and didn’t try to run off to the apartment. T-boy and Little Bit were happy to be getting settled in too. T-boy already established his spot on the daybed. He likes soft pillowy spots. Little Bit was happy he had his basket of toys available again. He loves pulling them out and dragging them around the house in an attempt to get someone to play fetch with him.

At bedtime, we each took a bath. I’m thrilled to have a bathtub again. I love taking baths. Then we went to bed and went to sleep right away at around 9:30 PM.

November 11, 2025

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for wood stoves.
  • Thank you for stars.
  • Thank you for gentleness.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

Today I got the food out of the fridge in the apartment. It was the last thing I had to move. The fridge at my new house still smells horrible, even though I thoroughly cleaned all of the rotten food out of it a week ago and it’s been sitting with baking soda and coffee grounds in it. The smell is soaked into the fan system and the plastic. I had put peppermint oil in it the fridge this morning and now it smelled like rotten food with peppermint. Regardless, it was the fridge I had and I was going to have to deal with it. After putting all our food in the smelly fridge, I went back to the apartment and thoroughly cleaned it. It was ready to go.Yay! Now I could put all my energy into the new house.

Other things I did today, cleaned for my neighbor but she’s not my neighbor anymore since I’ve moved. I broke down boxes and stored them under the porch to use for the fire. I worked on organizing and cleaning my friend TJ’s pantry. Then in the evening I helped with Girls Club. When we got home, I made some chamomile tea and took a long hot bath. Then we went to bed and went to sleep at around 9:30 PM.

November 12, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for warmth.
  • Thank you for cats.
  • Thank you for grace.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I got the sun room organized and put together today. It was the last room to be put together. Now the house is done! Yay!

In the afternoon, the homeschool kids had a play day at the rec center. It was so nice out that we ended up going outside. I sat in the grass and watched the kids play. The weather was lovely and warm for a November day.

The morning and early afternoon were spent doing a couple of cleaning opportunities. The dogs got to play with their friend Mogi at my first cleaning and they love playing with Mogi. Then after getting home from the rec center, I hired a handyman to put in a cat door for Sweetie Alabama. He did a great job and I will be hiring him for future projects.

At 4 PM, we went to Mundo hot springs. We met some friends there and swam for a couple of hours. It was nice to stretch and relax in the warm mineral water. I love hot springs. When we got home from swimming, I fed Angel and we played a few games of What’s the Point. Then we picked up pastor Amy and drove up to Mesa hill to see the northern lights. You could barely see them with the naked eye but my iPhone took great night pictures where the colors showed up brilliantly.

When we got home, we took baths and got ready for bed. We played a few more games of What’s the Point and went to sleep at around 10:30 PM.

November 13, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for northern lights.
  • Thank you for connection.
  • Thank you for windows.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke in the night, where I prayed, mediated and did some writing. I awoke again at 6 AM. I had a kink in my back again. I took a hot bath and did some gentle stretching but the kink wouldn’t budge. I walked to the bank and cleaned it before it opened since I didn’t get it cleaned last night. When I got home, I went to put the bank key away but I could not find it on me anywhere. I walked back to the bank looking to see if I had dropped it. I have a clip hooked to the key that I usually clip to my belt loop so I don’t lose it but obviously I didn’t clip the key on when I left the bank. It had to be somewhere along the route I walked because I used the key to lock the bank doors. When I got to the bank, there was the key sitting on the sidewalk. I was so thankful to find it. Losing the key to the bank would be a lot of drama that I was grateful to not have to deal with.

Next, I stopped at an overnight pet sitting opportunity that starts tonight and I checked on the animals. Then I went to New Meadows and did a 2 hour cleaning opportunity. By the time I finished cleaning, the kink in my back had worked its way out. I was thankful for that!

When we got back to Council, Angel went to book club at the library but it was canceled. So I loaded up some things in the truck to take to the landfill and we dropped it off on our way to Mr. and Mrs. H’s. At the H’s, I got a lot done. I used the leaf blower to blow all the leaves off the patio onto a tarp. Then Mrs. H and I dragged the tarp over to the asparagus patch and used the leaves to tuck the asparagus in for the winter. Then I cleaned their house. The dogs ran around playing and Angel did her schoolwork.

When we got home, I got a big fire going in the wood stove. Then I took a bath while Angel went to jujitsu. I got a text from a friend asking me to come join a meeting the Chamber of Commerce was having. I got out of the bath and went to the meeting. Somehow during the meeting, I ended up being in charge of the Christmas parade. Now I see why they wanted me there 😂.

After jujitsu, Angel went to my older sisters to stay the night. I tucked the dogs in at home and went to my overnight pet sitting opportunity. The dog I am pet sitting isn’t friendly with kids or other dogs, so they can’t be there with me. I debated leaving the cat door unlocked before I left and decided to leave it so that Sweetie could go in and out at night.

At my pet sitting opportunity, I got the chickens closed in, checked on the cats and dog and went to bed. I wrote my blog notes and went to sleep at around 9 PM.

November 14, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for rain.
  • Thank you for people.
  • Thank you for money.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke at 5 AM. I had slept a full 8 hours which is rare. Usually I sleep 4-6 hours and wake up for a couple hours in the night before sleeping more. I felt well rested. I played wordle and connections and did some writing before it started to get light outside. I got up and took care of the animals. Then I got Angel from my sisters and went home.

The dogs were excited we were home and we were happy to see them too. I got the fire in the woodstove stoked up and made tea. I made Angel breakfast and after eating she rode her bicycle to jujitsu.

I went to my friend TJ’s where I fed and watered the chickens and cleaned the house. After jujitsu Angel went to a friends house and when I finished at TJ’s, I drove to New Meadows to do an organizing opportunity. On the way there, I stopped to check on the animals at my pet sitting opportunity.

When I arrived, my client had me organize her pantry. At first sight, I wasn’t sure I could get it done in one day and felt overwhelmed; but then I changed my perspective and rested in the energy of the process being easy and fun. Magically, I got the entire pantry completely organized in 3 hours. My client was thrilled with my work and I was proud of my masterpiece.

I hearted (headed) back to Council, stopping at my pet sitting opportunity on the way, to feed the animals their evening meal and spend some time loving on them. When I arrived home, I did some organizing and unpacking in the house. Then I walked to the bank and cleaned it. Sweetie Alabama decided to walk with me and waited outside the bank until I finished cleaning. Then she walked home with me. On the way home, I stopped at the Nazarene church where they were having a game night sober social event. I said hello to people and shared lots of hugs. Sweetie was waiting for me when I come out and we continued on. What a fun cat! It’s been a while since I’ve had a cat that will walk with me and wait when I go inside places. My cat Emmy used to do that when she was alive.

When I got home, I tucked the dogs in and told them I would be back in the morning. Then I went to my pet sitting opportunity. I got the animals settled for the night and went to bed. I wrote my blog notes and went to sleep at 9:30 pm.

November 15, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for raccoons.
  • Thank you for water.
  • Thank you for organization.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke in the night, prayed, meditated and did some writing, then I slept more until 7 AM. I fed the animals and took the dog Izzy for a walk up to the road and back. I gave her treats and told her I would be back later.

At home, I walked in the door to a mystery. The pantry door was open, a few things were knocked down and the almost empty bags of cat food and dog food were both completely gone along with the dog food dish. I looked at the dogs and asked them what happened last night. They looked back at me with big wide eyes but never did tell me. I looked around the house for the dog and cat food bags but there was no sign of them. I looked around outside but there was not a trace. Hmmm…my guess was a raccoon discovered the newly installed cat door.

I locked the cat door and went to the apartment to meet the landlord for a cleaning inspection. The inspection went well as I knew it would and I got my deposit back. Yay! Then I went to the grocery store before going to New Meadows for an organizing opportunity.

The organizing opportunity went great. My client helped and we spent 5 hours organizing their storage room. I didn’t remember to take before and after pictures but the finished product looked amazing. My client was happy with my work and sent me home with some free food from the restaurant that her and her husband own.

In my way home, I stopped at my pet sitting opportunity where I fed the animals and loved on them. Then I stopped at my older sisters where Angel had been all day. I dropped off food and went home. I crawled under the house to see if I had a raccoon living under there. It was good I did because even though I didn’t find a raccoon nest, it smelled like an animal under there and I discovered that I had a pretty good water leak that I didn’t know about. I called my handyman and told him about the water leak. Then I went to the Assembly of God church to clean it.

The church was messier than I’ve ever seen it. They had a wedding there yesterday and it was a mess. Half of the chairs in the sanctuary were stacked high against the wall. They were stacked so high that I couldn’t get the top chairs off without straining my back. After struggling with the chairs for a while, I finally figured out that I could tilt the stacks just enough to get the top chairs off. I put the sanctuary back together, then I tackled the filthy bathrooms.  In the fellowship hall, the chairs were all stacked in there too but I didn’t unstack them. I had been there for hours and I didn’t want to strain my back anymore. When I finished cleaning, the church looked amazing.

My mom called and we had a pleasant conversation which I was grateful for. Then I walked home and started a fire going and locked the cat door. I tucked the dogs in for the night and went to my pet sitting opportunity. I closed in the chickens and checked on the cats and dog. I went to bed and went to sleep right away at 10 PM.

November 16, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for laughter.
  • Thank you for chickens.
  • Thank you for organization.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke in the night and drove home to check on the dogs and make sure the raccoon didn’t find a way inside. All was good at home, so I drove back to my pet sitting opportunity and did some writing, praying and meditation. Then I slept more and awoke again at 7 AM. I fed the dog and cats and let out the chickens. I tried to get the dog Izzy to go on a walk but it was raining out and she didn’t want to go. I petted her and told her I would be back later.

I drove to my sisters and picked up Angel before going home. We greeted the dogs and cat and I opened up the cat door for them. I made Angel breakfast and started a bath for her. I brought her breakfast to eat in the bath and made myself some tea. The neighbor boy came over and Angel got out of the bath to play with him. Then my friend came over to have tea. I made the kids hot chocolate to drink and sat at the table with my friend and we talked for a while until it was time for church.

We walked to church and the neighbor boy joined us. He had never been to church before. I did children’s church for the younger kids which there was only one of. She watched a kids video about manners while I looked out the window at the rain. A friend messaged saying she saw T-boy running around town. I decided when I got home, I was going to get out the perimeter collar I was gifted to see if I could get it to work for T-boy.

When we got home from church, T-boy was there and the raccoon had gotten in again. I figured it was nocturnal and had left the cat door open since it was daytime. Obviously I will need to lock the cat door anytime we leave. The raccoon didn’t get into the cat and dog food bags this time because I had put them on the top shelf of the pantry. The garbage was knocked over though and the dog food that had been in the dish was scattered around. I cleaned up the mess and went outside. I carried a few cut logs to the back of the house and used them to cover a hole under the back porch that went under the house.

I went inside and got out the perimeter collar system. I read the instructions and set it up. I put the collar on T-boy and we went outside to try it out. It seemed to work so we will see how it goes. I have on the gentlest setting for now.

Next, I hung laundry on the indoor retractable clothesline that I installed earlier that morning. I was so happy to have a clothesline up. I like my clothes to be line dried. I love having my own place again where I can do my own thing, like have a clothes line in the living room 😂.

The rest of the day was spent putting the sun room together and helping Angel get her room put together. Angels room was quite the task but we finally got it done. The neighbor boy hung out all day and put together a car and an airplane from a kit I had bought at the thrift store a while back.

In the evening, I went to my pet sitting opportunity, fed the animals and petted them. Then Angel and I went to Zims hot springs. I stretched and floated on my back fully relaxing my body while Angel played with some kids.

When we got home, I put away the dry clothes and Angel went to my older sisters for the night. I secured the house and tucked the dogs in telling them I would be back in the morning. Then I went to my pet sitting opportunity. I lived in the animals and got settled in, wrote my blog notes and went to sleep right away at around 9:30 PM.

November 17, 2025

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for a fridge.
  • Thank you for handymen.
  • Thank you for connecting.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke at 3 AM. I drove home to check on the dogs. Everything was fine, so I drove back to the pet sitting house. I did some writing, prayer and meditation. Then I slept more until 7 AM.

It was a wet dreary day out, I fed the animals and let chickens out. Izzy the dog, took one look outside and refused to go on a walk. I gave her treats and told her that her owners were coming home today. Then I went home.

Angel arrived home from staying the night at my older sisters and I made her breakfast. I made myself tea and a smoothie and started a bath filling up with water. The bath was almost full when I saw the handyman drive up to fix the water leak under the house. Shortly after he arrived, the city public works guys pulled up to turn off all my water so the handyman can fix the leaky pipes. I quickly checked the bath and thankfully it was full.

The water was only off for an hour. The handyman got the leaks fixed and it only cost me $120 including the parts and the labor. I was pleasantly surprised and gave him a tip.

When the city public works guys came to turn the water back on, they noticed that the meter was moving just a little bit. The handyman checked his work for leaks and I checked under all the sinks and all the shut off valves. There were no noticeable leaks. The handyman turned off the main water valve to the house and the meter was still barely moving. One of the guys checked the frost-free outside spigot and that’s where the leak was. You could hear it if you put your ear up to it. He tightened up the handle several times and the leak was slower…really slow but he couldn’t get it tightened up anymore. The amount of water leaking is such a small amount that it will hardly even register  and will not cause me to go over the allotted amount included in the monthly bill. We decided digging up the spigot would be a spring project and called it good. I thanked the public works guys and my handyman for helping me find the leak.

I went to my friend TJ’s where I checked the chickens and gave them food and fresh water. Then I met a man outside the gun store who let me borrow his live trap. He gave me some hints on more effective ways to use it and told me that trap had caught several raccoons. I thanked him and went to the store and bought salad fixing.

At home, I made myself a big yummy salad and bean tacos for Angel. We played a board games called Race Across the USA while we ate our lunch. Then we did some of Angels schoolwork together. I laid down and thought about taking an afternoon nap but then I got motivated to swap out the smelly fridge that I can’t get the smell out of for my older sisters garage fridge that she doesn’t want anymore. I messaged my nephew Christopher who is staying at my sisters to see if he would help. He said he would, so I put everything in the fridge in coolers and hooked up the trailer to the truck. I drove to my sisters and Christopher loaded it up for me. We drove to my house and as we were unloading it off the trailer, I saw my young strapping neighbor outside. I yelled, asking if he would help. He came right over and his help was a blessing because getting the old refrigerator out and the new one in was quite the ordeal. The doors had to be taken off both fridges and the porch had low beams that the fridges were too tall for. Getting the old fridge out was easier because they pushed it over the edge of the porch rather than carry it down the stairs and around. It was going to the landfill so it didn’t matter if it got beat up.

Christopher rode with me to the landfill and we got there 10 minutes before it closed. When we got back to my place, Christopher helped me put the doors on the fridge. I thanked him for his help and he walked back to my sisters. I cleaned the new/used fridge from top to bottom and put everything in it from the coolers. I like this fridge much better than the other one. Not only does it smell much better but it’s not held together with duct tape 😂.

I drove to my pet sitting opportunity to check on the animals one more time before their owners got back. When I got home, I walked to the bank to clean it and Angel went to see the lady who lives right below the apartment we had. The lady is giving us her 2 cats and she brought them over for Angel.

When I finished cleaning, we set up the litter box in Angels room for the new cats and introduced them to Sweetie Alabama. She didn’t like them one bit. The male is named Theo. He is fixed and Stella, the female, is getting fixed on the 21st. We kept all the cats in Angels room and I’ll wait a couple of days before letting them out.

I took a long relaxing bath and we went to bed. I wore my blog and went to sleep at 10:30 PM.

November 18, 2025

Morning prayer,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for faith.
  • Thank you for refrigerators.
  • Thank you for salad.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I woke in the night, prayed, mediated and wrote my blog. I slept more and awoke again at 8 AM. After getting dressed, I made tea for myself and breakfast for Angel. We discussed the new cats over breakfast and decided to let them out of Angels room to wander the house for the day. Yesterday, I had figured out that the cat door can be set to only open for outgoing or incoming. I had it set so the animals could go out but not come back in to prevent anymore raccoon visitors. I went and locked the cat door completely and we let the cats out. They walked around exploring and met the dogs. There was only a little hissing but they seem to be adjusting well.

We left to go help Mr. and Mrs. H and took the dogs with us. The dogs love going to see Mr. and Mrs. H. I got a lot done there today. I replaced a nail with a screw to hold down a piece of floor trim. The nail kept coming back up after being hammered in but the screw should solve that problem. I swept the floors, did the dishes and helped organize the storage room above the garage. Before I knew it, 4 1/2 hours had gone by and we hearted (headed) to Council. Before going home, I stopped at a clients house and secured a few of his curtain rods that were falling off.

I’ve been paying really close attention to my energy levels lately and my energy was low when I got home. I laid down on the daybed and rested. It wasn’t long before my energy battery was recharged and I started making dinner. Angel had a friend over and I asked the girls if they wanted to make cookies to take to girls club. They did and I went to the store to get ingredients.

The cookies ended up being flat but the girls said they tasted good, so I stacked them on top of each other in a casserole pan with a lid and we took the 4-wheeler to Girls Club. I am amazed at how warm it is for mid-November. I’m still wearing only a t-shirt during the day. I did put on a coat and gloves to ride the 4-wheeler after dark though. It gets cold fast when the sun goes down and when there’s no cloud cover.

I was happy to not have any cookies left to take home after Girls Club. The girls were extra energetic tonight but that was before they ate the cookies, and after. When Girls Club was over, I took Angels friend home. When we got home, I brought in firewood and got the fire set for the night. Then we got ready for bed.

I have been developing a bedtime routine for myself, now that I have a bathtub again. I took a hot bath and added a bath bomb. The bath bomb had pieces of lavender in it that were stuck all over me, so I showered to get them off. Then I brushed my teeth and combed my hair. I went into my room and put coconut oil mixed with lavender oil all over my body. I checked my toes, clipped my toe nails and did some gentle stretching. I want to get a rebounder again, to add rebounder jumping to the routine.

I read a chapter of Runway Ralph to Angel and we went to bed. I went to sleep right away at 10 PM.

November 19, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for children.
  • Thank you for pianos.
  • Thank you for patience
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

After completing 2 cleaning opportunities and going to the thrift store. I felt tired and decided to stay home and bask in having my very own house. I ate a salad for lunch that my new/used fridge froze. I changed the setting on the fridge to the warmest setting and enjoyed my frozen salad.

Angel had a friend over and I listened to them play in her room while I laid on the daybed cuddled up with the dogs and watched the beautiful stormy sky. After a while, I made tea and a couple of friends stopped by for a few minutes. One friend brought us gifts which was very thoughtful of her and the other friend said he would split my rounds of wood for me tomorrow which I really appreciated.

I sat in the chair by the fire to read. I didn’t get much reading done though. The neighbor boy came over to play. I stopped reading and listened to the kids play. I didn’t like the way the boy was talking down to the girls and bossing them around, so I sent him home with all his stuff that he keeps leaving here. The girls played with the cats and picked out warrior names for them. The new cats are doing good but Sweetie Alabama is still not happy. She kept following the new cats around and hissing at them. Thankfully they just ignore her and since she’s getting no reaction, she’s starting to calm down. I imagine she will be adjusted to the new cats within a few days.

The house got really hot with the fire going in the wood stove. It was 85°F and I was pouring sweat. I opened the door to the sunroom and the cold air coming in the house felt nice. I got to thinking that I would like a glass door there to let in more light. Then I got to thinking about how many more windows I could put in the house. There’s already a lot of windows in this house which is a blessing to me. I want to see lots of outside when I’m inside and I appreciate having a lot of natural light. I realize that windows are not as energy efficient as an insulated wall but I don’t care. The wood stove will easily keep this entire house plenty warm in the winter and I want to build a big covered back porch to tamper the heat from the west sun in the summer. I want to put a west window in the hallway. Replace the back door with a glass one which also faces west and a west window in my room. My room already has a south facing window which is fantastic. I’d like an east window in my room too but the closet takes up that entire wall. A future project might be to shorten the closet to put a window in. Oh yay, it’s so fun having my own place to do what I want with. My creative side is bursting with ideas.

In the evening, I cleaned the bank and then did a life transformation coaching phone call. I’ve worked with this client for quite a few years and it’s wonderful to see the differences in her perspectives and life choices from when we first started working together.

At bedtime, Angel and I sat by the fire and I read a chapter from Runway Ralph. Then she read a storybook to me and I really enjoyed listening to her read. She is reading better and better. We each took a bath and I did my nighttime routine. Then I wrote my blog and hung up the days laundry on the retractable clothes line that I put up in the living room. Yay for clothes lines in the house! I snuggled up with the dogs and went to sleep at around 11 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you!

Love, Victoria
