Morning prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for raspberries.
- Thank you for people.
- Thank you for hot springs.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I awoke from 1:30 AM to 4:30 AM. I wrote my blog and posted it. Then I read some of A Fine and Pleasant Misery by Patrick McMahon. I laughed and laughed. I love good humor and I love laughing. It is so much fun and feels so good.
I awoke again at 8 AM. I made tea and fed Angel breakfast. Then she went over to spend the day with my older sister, while I took Mr. and Mrs. H to Boise and back. Before leaving town, I went to the post office to check the mail. Angels halloween costume that her sister bought her was supposed to have arrived yesterday. It wasn’t in the P.O. Box, so I went to my older sisters to see if it was there and it was. Angel opened it and I took a video of her reaction to sent to her sister.
I left and went to Goodrich to pick up Mr. and Mrs. H. When they were ready to go we headed to Boise. Mr. H has an antique rocking chair that was his great grandmothers. Is in pieces and he wants to have it fixed. He had me take them to a lady who knows how to fix old rocking chairs. He showed her the chair and she explained to him how to fix it since he wants to do the work himself. It was interesting listening to her explain things. She was very thorough and patient.
Before heading back up the mountain, we ate a Vietnamese restaurant. While we were sitting eating, I mentioned to Mr. H that I was looking at buying a house but I needed a co-signer. He didn’t even hesitate before saying that he would co-sign. I was surprised. I hadn’t been expecting that but I was thrilled. He asked questions and I told him about the property. Then he said that he would be willing to buy it outright and carry the mortgage for me. I really really hadn’t been expecting that! That is wonderful!
Later after getting back, I talked to the broken about a cash offer. He said he would get it all set up and call me tomorrow. Mr. H listened in on our phone call and when I hung up, he said that he wanted to skip the broker and go straight through the owner. He told be to find out the owners information and have the owner get in touch with him.
At home, I called my older sister and she looked up the owner. There wasn’t a phone number listed so we looked up the name on Facebook. There was only one person with that name that showed up. I sent a message asking if he was the owner of the property. Angel came home and we got ready for bed. I read 2 chapters from The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Clearly. Then Angel put on a sleep meditation. She slept in the hammock and went to sleep right away. I was excited about the sudden experience of buying a house and wasn’t able to sleep. I read some of A Fine and Pleasant Misery. Then the owner of the house responded to my message on Facebook. Basically he told me to F…off and leave him alone. I thanked him for his time and will tell Mr. H that we will need to go through the broker. At 1 AM I finally drifted to sleep.

Morning prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for baptism.
- Thank you for each breath I take.
- Thank you for delightful gifts.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I awoke at 6 AM. I did some writing and went back to sleep at 7:30 AM. I awoke again at 9 AM. Angel was already awake and hungry. I talked my older sister on the phone and fed Angel. I made tea and started some chia pudding to set.
Angel and I got ready for church and drove there instead of walking since it was raining. We went to the Nazarene church and the singing was fantastic. We left after the singing and went to the Assembly of God church to do play practice during children’s church and get ready for Angel to get baptized. Angel got baptized in Texas a couple of years ago but she wanted to get baptized again along with a few other girls from Girls Club. I don’t see anything wrong with getting baptized more than once and she was excited to do it again.
Children’s church play practice wasn’t happening, so I sat in on the sermon and was glad I did. I was reminded to have full faith that God’s got things and to faithfully follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When the service was over, people from the Nazarene church and families of the girls getting baptized arrived. Angel got baptized first, then 5 girls and one adult got baptized.

When we got home, I cleaned the bank and talked to Mr. H, before I was able to tell him about the owner not wanting to be bothered he said that he wanted to go through the broker since he remembered that the seller pays the brokers fees. I told him about the owner and was glad we were on the same page. I told him that I would let him know when I heard from the broker.
I decided to go on a drive out to Wildhorse, to get another adventure before the snow starts. Angel didn’t want to go and escaped the experience of enjoying a beautiful mountain drive by going to my older sisters to stare at her Nintendo. I let a few people know where I was going and headed up the mountain.
The drive was wonderful. The fall colors are beautiful and the air smelled so fresh after the rain. I didn’t realize that the road to Wildhorse was surrounded on both sides by private land owned by OX Ranch and there were warning signs about animal traps being set. So the dogs and I didn’t get out and explore until we got back near the highway where the land was public.

Regardless, it was a fantastic drive. There were 3 houses back in there. One looked to be lived in but the other two were empty. The rock formations on the mountains were incredible and I imagined living in one of the cabins, waking up each day to the mountain views. The road followed along the Wildhorse River and the deciduous tree along the banks had bright colored leaves of yellow, red and orange. A random gusty breeze made the leaves fly all around the truck in a blizzard of colors. It was like driving through a fairy tale land. It was a fairy tale land.

We got to the end of the road and turned around. On the drive back, we saw a lot of wild turkey. I’m not sure where they were on the drive in but they were out in hords on the drive back. The dogs were very excited about the turkeys and wanted out to give chase but had to settle for watching from the open windows.

When we got to where the land was public again, I found a spot to pull over before we got to Council-Cuprum road so the dogs could run. The pups were excited to finally get to run around. We followed an animal trail down to the river and the dogs ran and ran and ran. Tiny-Boy likes to run off where I can’t see him and he disappeared for a while and wouldn’t come when I called. When he decided to show up he looked like he had gotten into some mud.

It was getting later in the day and I wanted to get home before it got dark. We started down the road when I smelled a disgusting smell. I leaned over and smelled Tiny-Boy. The horrible smell was definitely coming from him. Who knows what he got into but what I first thought was mud, wasn’t mud. I pulled over near a creek and much to Tiny-Boy’s dismay, he got scrubbed down in the ice cold water. Little Bit was watching the show and when I finished with Tiny-Boy, Bit ran off and hid in the truck. I got him out and smelled him. He had rolled in the smelly stuff too and also received a scrub down in the cold water. Then I let the dogs run around for awhile. They rolled in the grass and got warmed up.
When we got back to Council, I had a message from the real estate broker telling me that he had paper work ready for me to sign and to give him a call. I called and told him he needed to talk to Mr. H too. I drove to my older sisters and had her look over the paperwork that I had received by email. She pointed out some things and I messaged the broker with a few questions. My nephew was there and it was good to see him. We talked briefly and I had some homemade apple cobbler that he made.
At home, I called and talked to Mrs. H. She said they were out to dinner and would talk to the broker when they got home or tomorrow. Then the broker called me and answered the questions I had for him. Angel and I got ready for bed. When the dogs got in bed with me, they still smelled bad so I gave them both a bath with dog shampoo. We got back in bed and I started to read The Mouse and the Motorcycle. Suddenly Tiny-Boy started hacking like he was going to throw up. I grabbed him and got him to the floor just as he vomited up a huge clump of dog food. I cleaned it up and Tiny-Boy got back in bed with me. I started reading again when Tiny-Boy started hacking again. He ran to the end of the bed and threw up another huge gob of dog food on the top blanket. I cleaned that up and put the blanket in the wash, in the meantime, Tiny-Boy threw up again on the floor. Poor boy, he had eaten some of my sisters dogs food earlier but I don’t think that is what made him sick. I think he ate whatever he had rolled in out in the woods.
I went back to reading, keeping an eye on Tiny-Boy but there were no more incidents and he seemed to be feeling better. I finished reading to Angel and she went to her room to sleep in her bed. I read a couple of chapters from A Fine and Pleasant Misery by Patrick McMahon. I went to sleep at around 9:30 PM, listening to a sleep meditation.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
