Morning prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for wealth.
- Thank you for sunrises.
- Thank you for a lovely apartment to call home.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I wrote my blog in the night from 2:30 AM to 5 AM. I am enjoying being caught up on my blog. After I posted my blog, I read some of A Fine and Pleasant Misery by Patrick McManus and went back to sleep.
I awoke again at 7:30 AM. I made tea, then I vacuumed the house and vacuumed the stairway leading up to the apartments. I don’t think those stairs have been vacuumed in a really really long time and they looked great when I finished. Angel came home from staying the night with a friend and left again to go to jujitsu.
I whipped up some food to take to a potluck for the farmers market vendors and went to m&w to refresh my gratitude sign. Written across my gratitude sign was “please remove this sign”. I packed it up and brought it home. I will find another opportunity to put up the sign somewhere around town….maybe outside of the library.
I rode the 4-wheeler to the potluck and since it was close to the rec center, I walked over there to let Angel know where I would be. I was glad I did because she earned another stripe and I was there to see it. I walked back to the potluck and Angel joined me there shortly. I enjoyed visiting with people and watching the kids play.
Next, I cleaned the Assembly of God church and left to do a cleaning opportunity in New Meadows. On the drive we listened to an audiobook called Warriors: The Prophecies Begin, Into the Wild. The cleaning went well. Angel did her schoolwork and I chatted with my client while I cleaned. The dogs ran around playing with my clients dogs and they all had a great time.
After cleaning we went to Zims hot springs. I had accidentally left our swimsuits there the last time we swam. Earlier I had called to see if they were there when I couldn’t find them at home or in the truck. As soon as I told the lady that works at Zims who I was, she said that she had our swimsuits. When we got to Zims, she handed me a bag with our swimsuits and said that she had hung them to dry so they wouldn’t get smelly. I feel extremely grateful for her thoughtfulness and told her thank you for going above and beyond.

We swam for an hour or so. Angel found a friend to play with and I stretched and fully relaxed my body. I enjoyed people watching and was entertained by a bunch of men and boys playing basketball. There was a mom next to me watching her kids play, she was constantly telling them to be careful.
Kid (age 5?): mom, watch me touch the bottom of the pool with my hand.
Mom: don’t hit your head and be very careful.
Kid: I did it! Did you see?
Mom: I saw but be careful to not hurt yourself.
Another kid (age 7?): mom, I can do a somersault underwater.
Mom: be careful and don’t hit your head.
First kid: watch me jump in the water from the edge of the pool.
Mom: No, I don’t want you doing that. It’s dangerous.
Kid ignores her, climbs out and jumps off the edge of the pool into the water.
Dad arrives, laughs at the kid jumping in the water. Mom says she doesn’t want the kid jumping in the water because it’s dangerous. Dad laughs it off and the kid keeps getting out to jump off the edge of the pool. Mom flinches every time he jumps telling him over and over to be careful.
I chuckled to myself watching the “worried mom” show.
I switched channels and watched Angel and her friend play down at the deep end. They were jumping off the edge with their bodies straight as a bullet to see who could touch the 9 foot bottom first. They were a pretty even match and usually touched the bottom at the same time.
When we arrived home from Zims, we ate and got ready for bed. I read Angel a few chapters from The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Clearly. What a fun book. Then I wrote my blog notes while Angel picked out a sleep mediation. I turned out the light and we went to sleep at around 10 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
