Wednesday: Cleaning and The Dentist

Wednesday April 9, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for blogs.
  • Thank you for faith.
  • Thank you for vibrant colors.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I awoke at 2 AM. I wrote my blog and got caught up to the current day. I posted it and got ready to go back to sleep. My phone dinged and I had a good morning message from Aaron. Yay! I messaged him back and we had a brief exchange, then I went to sleep at around 4:30 AM. At 6:30 AM, I awoke again. I really wanted to sleep longer but if I didn’t get up now then I would be late for my first cleaning opportunity. I turned on some cheerful morning piano music and started Angels breakfast cooking. I took a shower and woke up Angel. I finished cooking breakfast and Angel ate while I made myself tea and a smoothie.

On the drive to my first cleaning opportunity, we listened to an audiobook called A Fourth Form Friendship by Angela Brazil. I cleaned while Angel did her schoolwork. I enjoyed cleaning and did an extra good job. When I finished, I drove back to Council. We listened to Nancy Drew on the ride home since Angel didn’t like the other book.

At home, I fed Angel lunch, then I took her to the dentist. She’s had a baby molar tooth bothering her. At the dentist, Angel was large and in charge. She chatted with the nurse and told her what was going on with her tooth. They did an X-ray and it was a cavity. I could see the cavity when I looked at her tooth so I knew that was the issue. They numbed her mouth with one of those long needles. I flinched but Angel was calm about the whole experience. When they started to pull her tooth, I was over in the corner cringing. The whole tooth came out in one whole piece which was a relief. Angel was still really mellow about everything and picked out a toy from the kids gift box.

I had to go do another cleaning/organizing opportunity. I was hopeful that Angel would be feeling ok and she seemed to be. If not, my clients had a nice quiet living room that she would be able rest in. We arrived and Angel played on her Nintendo while I cleaned and organized. We were there 2 hours and Angel was still doing great, acting like normal and not in pain even though the numbness from the shot had worn off.

When we got back to Council, Angel wanted to go to play practice at the Assembly of God church. The play is about Zaccheus. Practice lasted an hour. Then Angel went to my older sisters while I cleaned the bank. I listened to a Gregg Allman memoir called My Cross to Bear while I cleaned. It’s a long 10.5 hour book. I have 2 hours left. Then I’ll find another fun book to listen to while I clean the bank.

When I finished cleaning, I walked home and got Bits. Then I walked across town to a friends house. We walked around her yard admiring all the plants starting to pop-up. She has turned her yard into an amazing food forest and I get the opportunity to help her maintain it this summer. Our dogs ran around the yard playing together. She has a little chihuahua mix dog named Karma who is the same size as Bits.

Before I left, we sat at her picnic table and enjoyed the view while we had a conversation about healing and consciousness. I walked back home and had my sister send Angel home. We got ready for bed. I talked with Aaron on the phone, then I wrote my blog notes, put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at around 10 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
