Thursday, Friday and Saturday: Walking, Bicycling, Cleaning and Heart Flutters

Thursday April 3, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for sunlight.
  • Thank you for slow mornings.
  • Thank you for everything I need and more.
  • Thank you for cell phones.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I awoke at 8AM. I had slept deeply through the night. I took a long hot shower and started Angels breakfast cooking. Angel woke up and ate. Then she rode her bicycle to jujitsu. While she was gone, I took the opportunity to write my blog and post it.

When Angel got home, we played Sorry (Sorry not sorry is what I call it). Then we did school. Since we were home for Angel’s school, we got out some of her science experiment books and did a few experiments with magnets and a few other experiments with water.

While Angel was on a break from her schoolwork, I swept the steps going up to our apartment and swept the sidewalk out front. I had just finished sweeping when Aaron pulled up in his truck. His best friend was with him and I got to meet him. We all chatted briefly, they were replacing an alternator in a truck today and wanted to get back to it.

My neighbor lady came over and I showed her my apartment. Then Angel and I rode our bicycles over to my friend Camille’s to look at a futon she was willing to give me. The futon was different than most futons and was difficult to put up and down but I thought I could make it work.

Camille then came over to our apartment. Her daughter that is Angel’s age played in the front room together while Camille and I sat in the kitchen and talked. I made some food and we played a game of What’s the Point. Then we all went to the Thrifty Store.

When we got home, I made Angel dinner. Then we walked to the auto parts store to see if they had a charger for my rechargeable drill battery. They didn’t. On the way home, I chatted with a guy named Chad who was standing outside of his house with his dog and 2 baby goats. He invited us inside to show me a battery charger he had for his drill to see if it would work for mine. The charger was the wrong size but I saw that he had a mini grand piano in his living room. I asked him if he played and he said that he did. He took me into his dining room where he had an upright piano and he played a song. I recorded him playing while the goats were running all around. Fun stuff.

When we arrived home, Angel went to an evening jujitsu class. She is really liking jujitsu. I walked over there with her while she rode her bicycle so that I could give her coach a check. Her coach told me that she is really impressed with how well Angel is learning the jujitsu moves. I was glad to hear that.

I walked home and got some boxes I had stacked up to go to recycling. I walked them over to the recycling center and walked back. Then I rode my bicycle over to jujitsu and watched Angel. When her class was finished, we rode home together. Aaron called and we talked for a while. We have the best conversations. After getting off the phone, I took a long hot shower. Angel took a shower after me and we went to bed. I put on a sleep meditation and we went to sleep at around 11:30 PM.

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for east windows.
  • Thank you for pianos.
  • Thank you for walks.
  • Thank you for grace.
  • Thank you for kindness.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I woke up at 4 AM. I wrote my blog and went back to sleep at 6 AM. Angel woke me up at 8:30 AM. I let Bits out and sent out good morning messages to my good morning friends. Then I took a long hot shower. Angel got in the shower after I got out. I made her breakfast and we played a board game called Shut The Box

Angel ate and left to ride her bicycle to jujitsu. I wrote my blog for a while. Then I walked to the grocery store. I got back and laid down to take a short nap. Just as I was drifting off to sleep, the phone rang and it was Aaron. We chatted for a bit, then I walked to the Thrifty Store. I found a brand new bottle of adhesive and bought it for $.53.

Angel arrived home from jujitsu shortly after I got back from the Thrifty Store. I made her lunch and we went over to the neighbor lady’s house to help her move her flower pots out of her carport and we put them all around her yard. Then we rode our bicycles over to Aaron’s. We spent a couple of hours hanging out at Aaron’s. I sat in the sun and soaked up good sun energy while chatting with Aaron and his friends and neighbors. It was a wonderful afternoon spent relaxing and talking.

When we arrived back home, Angel and I played a new game that my friend Brett had bought her for her birthday. The game is called Suspend and it was great fun. We played it a while, then we played a few games of What’s the Point.

I was feeling tired and laid down while Angel played on her Nintendo Switch. I slept hard for an hour. Then I attempted to wake up but I was still so tired. Angel asked if she could go to my older sisters and I told her she could. Then I slept for another hour. When I woke up, I walked over and cleaned the bank.

After cleaning, Angel came home and we got ready for bed. I wasn’t tired though after having a late nap. I called Aaron and we talked on the phone for over 2 hours. When we got off the phone it was late. I wrote my blog notes and put on a sleep meditation. I went to sleep at around midnight.

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for sunshine.
  • Thank you for awakenings.
  • Thank you for guidance.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I awoke at 7AM. I wrote my blog and posted it. Angel woke up and I made her breakfast. We played a game called “Suspend” which is really fun. https://www.melissaanddoug.com/products/suspend-family-game?srsltid=AfmBOoo-lVq1HukQkovjoKexrfyFMcw9vDeYhgkGJegr2r0qSxfMJNAh

I made tea and a smoothie while Angel did the dishes. Then Angel rode her bicycle and I walked to my older sisters. I brought some laundry and got it started in the washing machine. Then I went with my sister around town to run errands.

When we got back, I switched laundry and walked to the Assembly of God church to clean it. I love cleaning the church. Cleaning churches are one of my favorite places to clean. I like cleaning the bank too. With highway 95 being closed, I have a lot less cleaning opportunities happening right now. I’m choosing to not stress about making way less money and am focusing on enjoying the opportunities I do have. I have faith that I will always have enough. Plus it’s been great walking and bicycling everywhere now that I live in town. It’s been 3 days since I’ve driven my truck. Everything is within walking distance. The post office, library, rec center, grocery store, thrift store, my older sisters, the bank and the recycling center are all within 2 blocks of me. The church I clean is 4 blocks from me.

After cleaning the church, I walked home with Angel. On the way, we stopped at the Thrifty Store and I bought a standing lamp. At home, I fed Angel lunch and walked to the post office to pick up some packages. Aaron came over, we were all going together to a gathering at Ben Ross reservoir. Aaron played a game of What’s the Point with Angel while I made grilled cheese sandwiches to take with us in case Angel got hungry later.

I had never been to Ben Ross reservoir and was excited to go to a new place. It was way closer than I expected it to be and only took us about 20 minutes to get there. We mingled and talked with people. I wandered off and took pictures of plants and looked at rocks. I skipped rocks with Angel and laid in the sun. It was fun being at a social event with Aaron. We both like people and like to have “real” conversations with people.

We stayed for a couple of hours and Aaron dropped us off at home. Angel and I walked to my sisters and picked out a skirt and blouse to wear to the Fireman’s Ball that I was going to tonight with Aaron. I am covering the event for the newspaper and was given 2 free tickets. I put the skirt and blouse on over my clothes and asked my sister how I looked. She said I looked ridiculous. I laughed and said I was walking home like that. I gathered up my clean laundry and walked home in my funny outfit. Angel stayed at my sisters to sleep overnight.

At home, I took a shower and got ready to go. I put on the skirt and blouse and even put on a tiny bit of makeup. Aaron arrived and he was dressed up all fancy too. He looked handsome. My heart fluttered when I saw him. I have been drawn to him since the first time I saw him and watched one of his videos on Facebook but that was more of a curiosity to get to know him because he fascinated me. Since we’ve been spending more time together, my heart has been getting involved in the situation and it seems to flutter every time I see or talk to him. I really like him a lot. He’s got something special and I feel honored that he wants to spend time with me.

We went to the Fireman’s ball. There were a lot of people there. I enjoyed socializing and chatting with people. I took some pictures and we ate, I ate a lot of salad. Then the auction started and it was going to go on for a long time. Aaron and I decided to leave and went to my house. We sat in the living room and talked for a couple of hours. It was a lot of fun. We have the best conversations and he makes me laugh. Aaron didn’t stay late and after he left, I got ready for bed. The house was so quiet with Angel at my sisters. I took a shower and got in bed. I wrote my blog notes and put on a sleep meditation. I went to sleep at around 9:45 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
