Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for pet sitting opportunities.
- Thank you for sunshine.
- Thank you for tea.
- Thank you for new friends.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 6 AM and I wrote my blog. It took me a long time to write. It was a tough entry that dealt with a lot of emotions. I started Angels taters cooking while I was still writing. When they were almost done I finally finished writing and posted my blog. I woke Angel up and ate her breakfast while I made her lunch and my tea.
We left and went to Lila’s. We fed her and let her out. Then we went to a cleaning opportunity a few miles outside of town. When we arrived. I went to get my cleaning supplies out of the back of the truck and they weren’t there. They were in their bin sitting next to my camper. I had forgotten to put them back in my truck after taking them out Saturday morning. I thought about driving back to town to get them but realized that I would be fine without them. My client had everything I needed.
I talked to my client for a few minutes and got busy cleaning. Angel sat at the table and did her schoolwork. Cleaning went good. My client had gotten new flooring and it looked really nice. He is an older man in his 80’s and along with cleaning, I helped him do his laundry and put clean sheets on his bed. He likes having me bring Bits inside. Bits runs around playing with my clients dog which is a collie mix and sits on my clients lap.
On the way to my next cleaning opportunity, I stopped at Lila’s and let her out. Then I stopped at home and loaded up my cleaning supplies. While I cleaned, Angel continued to do her schoolwork and I enjoyed making their house sparkling clean.
After I finished, I went to Lila’s and let her out before heading to an organizing opportunity way out in the country. When I got there, my client asked me to organize a couple of the kitchen cupboards. He wanted me to go through all the plastic containers and get rid of a bunch of them and wanted me to do the same with the plates, bowls and drinking glasses. His wife was in the hospital recovering from surgery and I knew she wouldn’t be happy about her kitchen cupboards being gone through and stuff gotten rid of without her being there to say what’s what. I’d been to their house enough times to know that the kitchen was her domain and I also knew that her husband didn’t like all of her clutter. He was taking the opportunity to get rid of some of the clutter while she was out of the house.
I immediately knew what to do to make it a win-win situation. I organized the plates, bowls and drinking glasses without getting rid of anything but because it was organized so well, a lot of space was freed up and it didn’t look cluttered anymore. As for the plastic container cupboard. I matched up the containers with matching lids. If a container didn’t have a matching lid, it went away. There were still plenty of containers that were kept and the cupboard looked great when I finished. I knew both the husband and wife would be happy with the results.
While I was organizing, Angel played on her Nintendo and Bits sat on my clients lap. My client loves Bits and pets him the whole time I am there whenever I come. Bits knows exactly what he gets to do at my different clients houses. At some of my houses, he has stay in the truck, which he won’t be able to do in the summer. In the summer he will have to stay home more and won’t get to go everywhere with me. Some houses he plays with their dog or dogs and other houses he sits on my clients laps and gets petted the whole time. He knows each house when we pull up to it and knows what he is there to do. He’s a smart boy.
When we left, I asked Angel if she wanted to go on an adventure. It was a beautiful sunny day and I was itching for an adventure. Angel thought that was a great idea. I turned off onto Cabin Creek Road and drove along the middle fork of the Weiser river to see if I could get to the warm springs trailhead. We stopped at a gushing stream of water coming down the mountain and climbed on the rocks and I took pictures and a video. Then we continued on, I was able to get a few miles further down the road then I was able to a couple weeks ago but eventually got to where the snow was too deep to drive on. We turned around and drove back a little ways. Angel said that she wanted to climb the mountain to the very top. I found a spot to pull over and we start climbing up the mountain. I love living back in Idaho where there is an abundance of public land. You can just randomly stop and climb a mountain if you want, I love that kind of freedom.

My mountain climbing muscles were out of shape and I could feel the burn, but I was up for the challenge. We climbed up to what had originally looked like the top, but as I had explained to Angel, what looks like the top of the mountain is never the top. When you reach that spot, you’ll see that there is more. Angel wanted to continue on to the next “top” of the mountain. So we hiked up to that spot and of course, it wasn’t the top. Angel continued on and even though I was ready to quit, I followed her. When we reached the next peak, what looked like the top of the mountain was quite a ways away. Angel decided that she was done attempting to get to the official top and started down. I took a video and pictures and followed her. It was fun going down. The easiest way to go down is to zigzag going sideways. I showed Angel how to do it and we made it down fairly quick.

As we were going back to town. I received a text from a lady who had a table and chairs she wanted me to look at to see if I wanted them. She wanted to know if I had forgotten to stop by. I was supposed to stop by after my organizing opportunity and I had indeed forgotten. I messaged her back telling her that I had forgot and asked if I could still come by and look at it. She said that I could and we drove straight there. The house was way out in the country and was absolutely gorgeous with an incredible view of the mountains. She showed me the table and chairs and they were a beautiful antique oak set. I couldn’t believe she was giving them away for free. She told me she had tried to sell them but no one wanted to pay the antique price so she’s rather give them away. I told her that I wanted them as long as the table would fit in my little kitchen. I said that I would measure the kitchen and let her know and I thanked her very much for her generosity.
She asked Angel if she wanted to see their horses and Angel was excited about that, that was way better than looking at a table and chairs. She took us out to the stables and we petted one of their horses and a pony. Angel loved the pony and asked to ride it. The lady told her she would let her do that one of these days in the near future.

When we left and were driving down the dirt road, we saw a mother and daughter that go to the homeschool co-op standing outside of a house. We stopped to say hi and wave at them. The mom said that this was where they lived. She told us that they had a baby goat born that morning and invited us to see it. We drove out to their barn and saw the baby goat. Then Angel and the girl jumped on the trampoline while the mom and I talked for a while.

When we got back to town, I let Lila out and fed her. Then I went to my older sisters and Angel stayed with her while I walked over to clean the bank. When I finished cleaning, I got Angel, let Lila out one more time and went home. It had been a very long enjoyable day.
Angel and I got ready for bed. I put on a sleep meditation, wrote my blog notes and texted with a new friend. I went to sleep at around 10:30 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
