Saturday: Pet Sitting, Mother-Daughter Tea and Playing at the Park

Saturday March 22, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for a strong body.
  • Thank you for self control.
  • Thank you for kindness.
  • Thank you for friendships.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I awoke at 6:30 AM. I had slept through the night again and even though I had gone to sleep at 1 AM, I felt well rested. I posted my blog that I had written the night before and relaxed in bed looking on Facebook for a half hour. Then I got up and started cooking Angels breakfast. I was out of water, so I got dressed and walked to the water spigot and filled up my jugs. When I came back in, I made my bed and wrote my daily thank you’s while waiting for Angels breakfast to cook. I woke Angel up when her breakfast was almost ready and she ate. I made my tea and packed up leftover smoothies and we got ready to go. I took my cleaning supplies out of the back of my truck to make room for tires. We are going down to the valley today to attend a mother-daughter tea with my mom at her church.

We left and let Lila out and fed her. I dropped off books at the library and went to my older sisters to pick up tires to take to the car dealership where I bought my truck. The dealership is going to switch them out with my studded snow tires on my old truck. I stopped by Lila’s again and let her out, then we hearted (headed) down to the valley.

On the drive we listened to a Nancy Drew audiobook. When we got to Weiser, I stopped at the fruit store and bought a flat of strawberries for $11.99. Then I dropped off the tires at the car dealership and told them that my CarPlay system isn’t working. My salesman wasn’t there but I was told he would call me on Monday.

We arrived at my mom’s and she was ready to go. We rode with her to the Mother-daughter tea and arrived right on time. Everyone was dressed up nice, I had forgotten to dress up. I was in my flannel shirt and jeans and Angel was in her play clothes. Oh well, I figured I could make the excuse that we were mountain people.

The tea went well. I got to know the other women sitting at the table with us and Angel sat by a little girl a few years younger than her. I drank a lot of tea and ate some fruit. When the event was over we went back to my moms and left right away.

I had a couple of broken clocks in the truck that one of my clients had asked me to see about getting fixed. I drove to the clock business but it was closed, so I continued on to Middleton. I stopped by Ridley’s, bought some fresh squeezed oj and talked to my friend Jason. Then I took Angel to a park. She found some kids to play with and they had fun going on a zip line and spinning around on the merry-go-round. I walked around the edge of the park with Bits and watched the water flow down Willow creek next to the park.

On the drive home, I stopped at Ridley’s in Weiser to get some things I had forgotten. I noticed that they had fresh squeezed OJ too. That was good to know! As soon as we arrived back in Council, I let Lila out and fed her. We went home and I rested and did some writing while Angel played in her room. Then we played What’s the Point and I made Angel something to eat.

I went to Lila’s and let her out. Then came home and got ready for bed. I briefly talked on the phone. Then I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at 10:30 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
