Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for rain storms.
- Thank you for slow paced mornings.
- Thank you for tea.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 3 AM. It was raining and the wind was blowing really hard making the camper rock. I played wordle and connections and started to write my blog. I felt too tired to write and kept closing my eyes but then a wind gust would come up and I’d be fully awake again as the camper rocked. I looked at the weather report and saw that the storm would end at around 5 AM. I continued writing my blog and posted it at around the time the storm ended. I put on a healing meditation and slept deeply until 8:20 AM. Angel was awake and I got up and started cooking taters for her.
Angel sat in her bed and painted her toy horses with paint pens, while her breakfast was cooking. I made tea and a smoothie and packed supplies I needed in order to make Angel’s apple pies later in the day. Angel ate her breakfast and we went to Lila’s. I fed her and let her out, then I dropped Angel off at jujitsu. I went to a cleaning opportunity at a house next door to the apartment I’m going to be moving into.
I cleaned and chatted with my client. She offered to give me a chair and a hallway runner to put in my apartment since I have no furniture other than a small secretary desk that I have at my sisters. I looked at the chair and hallway runner and I liked them both. The chair was exactly the kind I like, straight back with an antique look. I asked her if she could keep them at her place until I move in to the apartment and she agreed. Yay! I have some nice furniture. I felt grateful.
After cleaning, I picked up Angel from the library. She had walked over there after jujutsu. We went to Lila’s and let her out. Then we stopped at the grocery store and went to my friend Camille’s to make a couple of apple pies for Angels birthday party. I had also brought along my juicer and some fruit to make fresh juice.
Camille and I talked while I made the pies and juice. I had forgotten a few ingredients and Camille graciously shared what she had with me. Angel played with Camille’s daughter who is the same age as her. Camille got into the pie making mode and made a blueberry pie while I was making the apple pies. She also added some apples and carrots to the juice I was making and I gave her a couple jars. For myself, I ended up with two 64oz. jars of pineapple/apple/carrot juice.
While the pies were cooking, I helped Camille clean out their greenhouse and get seed trays reading for propagating seeds. It was a lot of fun. When the pies were done, I took Camille’s daughter and Angel to Cambridge for Awanas. On the way, I fed Lila and let her out and picked up another girl to take to Awanas. The girls all talked and got along good during the drive. When we got to Cambridge, I couldn’t find the church where Awanas were held. Angel hadn’t been before and the other 2 girls were giving me directions but we still couldn’t find it. Cambridge is a tiny town and I knew it couldn’t be that hard to find. I called Camille and she hasn’t been there before either, her daughter usually went with the other girls mom. Camille looked it up and directed me there and we found it. Yay! The girls and me all cheered.

I got the girls checked in, then I went to my sister Missy’s and bright her some fresh made juice. She hasn’t been feeling good and I thought the juice might help her feel better. While I waited for the girls to get out of Awanas, I called a guy I knew in junior high named Jason. We have been Facebook friends for a while but recently re-connected when I saw that he had the same birthday as Angel. We both had a crush on each other in junior high when I lived in Middleton and neither of us knew. He still lives in Middleton in the same house. We had a fun conversation and talked for an hour until Awanas was over.
I brought Camille’s daughter home, the other girl I had brought went home with another mom. On the drive from Cambridge to Council, we listened to a Nancy Drew audiobook. I dropped off Angels friend and let Lila out and fed her and we went home. I brought in the juicer and juice. I had left the pies at Camille’s to pick up on Saturday since I didn’t have anywhere to keep them in the camper. We brushed our teeth and got in bed. Angel painted and I talked on the phone with Jason until 11 PM. When I got off the phone, Angel was already asleep. I wrote my blog notes and put on a sleep meditation. I went to sleep at 11:30 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
