Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for mediation.
- Thank you for connection.
- Thank you for snow.
- Thank you for survival stories.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 3 AM. I wrote my blog and went back to sleep at 5 AM. I awoke again at 6:30 AM. I didn’t want to get up and go to a cleaning opportunity. I was still not feeling 100% but I was feeling good enough to go to clean. I got up and made tea. I made Angel breakfast and woke her up. I asked how her stomach was and she said that it felt good.
On the way to my cleaning opportunity which was outside of Cambridge, we listened to a Nancy Drew audiobook. Angel did her schoolwork while I cleaned. It was snowing when I finished and I wasn’t sure how the roads would be on the drive back but they were fine.
When I got back to Council, I stopped by my older sisters and got some blank paper from the office supplies that I still had there. Then I went by the camper and got Angels colored pencils and markers. I was leading the homeschool co-op class today and we were making paper airplanes. I had a book on how to make different types of paper airplanes and I thought it would be a fun project for the kids.
The homeschool co-op was a lot of fun. There was a good size group of kids and another mom had brought more books about making paper airplanes. She also brought a book that explained how airplanes work and I read it out-loud to the kids before we started our project. The kids made and decorated airplanes. Then as I figured would happen, they ran around the room throwing them. The moms am sat and talked about getting a dance class started in Council as well as starting up other activities for kids.
When class was over, we went home and got settled in. Then I did a coaching client phone session for an hour while Angel played in her “room”, which is her bunk beds. The session went great. I love coaching. I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to speak through me before each coaching session and she does. I tend to think of the Holy Spirit as the feminine side of God. Throughout history, almost all the books of the Bible that promoted the feminine perspective of God were removed, The Gospel of Mary being one of them but there were many others. There are many different theories of why these books were removed but I’m not going to get into all of that. I simply believe that God is neither masculine nor feminine. I believe God is love and because I am female and the Holy Spirit is within me than to me she is also female.
Anyway, I got off of a tangent. After my phone call, Angel went outside to play in the snow. I received an email from the local newspaper editor asking me to re-write my city council meeting article. Those meetings are so difficult for me to write. The editor had given me a book a while back about how to write newspaper articles covering meetings as well as other things. I found the book and read the section about meetings. It was great information and I clearly saw how to write a good meeting article. I was excited to try out the new skills I had learned and I will work on revising my article in the next day or so.
Angel came in and ate dinner. Then she went back outside and I decided to tackle doing my taxes. I spent the rest of the evening doing my taxes. It was intense but I managed to get it all done. Yay! Angel came back in when it was dark out and we played What’s the Point. It’s a fun game that I bought in Arizona when I visited my younger sister Missy in Tucson last spring. It was right before she moved to Idaho. https://www.thecactuscardgame.com
After our game, we got ready for bed and I read to Angel How to Eat Fried Worms. We finished the book and Angel read me one of her kids books. Then we went to bed and drifted off to sleep at around 10 PM listening to a sleep meditation.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
P.S. this blog post was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
