Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for discernment.
- Thank you for connections.
- Thank you for all my needs being met.
- Thank you for my burnt leg.
- Thank you for winter.
I love you!
I was awake off and on most of the night taking care of Raymond. He had a couple of accidents and needed to be let in and out a few times. I posted my blog and played wordle and connections. Then I spent a bunch of time watching “Got Talent” videos and scrolling through Facebook. I decided to set a new goal of only using Facebook to post my blog and daily gratitudes and respond to comments on my posts. No more scrolling. It’s taking me away from using my time for prayer and meditation.
At 7:30 AM, Angel woke up. I made her breakfast, fed the dogs and made myself tea. Then I laid in bed and did a full body relaxation session. When I was fully relaxed, I prayed and meditated for a half hour. When I got up, I took Raymond on his morning walk. It was 7° F out but I barely noticed the cold. I wasn’t even dressed super warm, I had on my blue jeans, wool socks, muck boots, coat, scarf, thin acrylic gloves and ear muffs. Ok well, I guess I was dressed pretty warm other than the blue jeans and acrylic gloves. I’ve been enjoying winter walks in the snow. It’s so beautiful walking in the snowy pine forest. It really is a winter wonderland. I am completely blissed out experiencing winter in the mountains. I don’t want winter to end. I am loving it.

When we got back from our walk, we got ready to go to Council. On the drive we listened to Nancy Drew and The Quest of the Missing Map. The roads were clear and the drive was breathtaking as always.
I dropped Angel off at my older sisters. Angel was excited to play Minecraft. I made up a rule that for every extra page of schoolwork that Angel does, she gets 10 minutes of Minecraft. She’s been enthusiastically doing extra schoolwork and has been keeping track. She’d earned 2:40 minutes of playing Minecraft and was eager to use it all up.
I briefly talked to my sister, then I went to a “Women’s Breakfast” at the Community Church. We ate and I sat at a table with a bunch of ladies that were very interested in asking me all kinds of questions. I happily answered all their questions and I might get some new pet sitting, cleaning and organizing opportunities. We played trivia and a lady named Deb Krum spoke. She shared wonderful stories about experiencing God’s love in her life. It was a great experience and I was glad that I went.
Next, I went back to my sisters and put clean sheets on the beds upstairs for when 2 of my kids come visit next week. I packed some more of my stuff in the truck to take to the camper and drove across town to talk with a guy I will be overnight pet sitting for. I brought Bits in with me to meet his dog Lila. Bits snapped at Lila and she snapped back. After that, Bits wanted nothing to do with Lila even though she had warmed up to him and wanted to play. They will get used to each other when I’m staying there.
I dropped off more of my stuff at the camper and went back to my sisters. I told Angel that her 2:40 were up on Minecraft. So she turned it off and watched a movie with my sister. I walked to the thrift store and dropped off some donations. Then I walked to the bank and cleaned it. After cleaning, I drove to the grocery store and stocked up on berries.
I picked up Angel from my sisters and we drove to my pet sitting opportunity in McCall. It was a whole different climate in McCall. In Council it had been cold but sunny. In McCall it was overcast and snowing. We took Raymond on his evening walk and I made Angel dinner. Then we started to watch a movie. I was tired from being up most of the night last night, so we only watched part of the movie before getting ready to go to bed early.
We took a long hot shower, then we brushed our teeth and went to bed. Angel read Oh The Places You Will Go and I read a few chapters of How to Eat Fried Worms. Then I put on a sleep meditation and we went to sleep at 8 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
