Yesterday: Church and Zim’s Hot Springs

Sunday January 26, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for birthdays.
  • Thank you for sunshine.
  • Thank you for adventures.
  • Thank you for lakes.
  • Thank you for blogs.
  • Thank you for my life.

I love you!

I awoke at 2:30 AM. I played wordle and connections and wore my blog. At 6 AM, I put on a sleep meditation and slept again until 8 AM when Angel woke me up saying that she was hungry. I got up and let the dogs out. I listened to positive affirmations while I made Angel her breakfast, for myself I made tea and a smoothie. My smoothie had 6 bananas, two packages of raspberries and fresh juice. I responded to my happy birthday messages and started writing my blog while Angel finished eating and got dressed.

We left to go to church in Council. On the drive we listened to a Nancy Drew audiobook. We got to town early and I decided to clean the bank before church rather than after church. I had to have it clean before the bank opened Monday morning. Angel stayed at my older sisters and I walked over to the bank. I really liked cleaning it when it was light out. I could see if the glass doors were clean and noticed a lot of spots I had missed while cleaning after dark. I had so much fun that I messaged the company I worked for and told them I didn’t want to put in my two week notice anymore and I wanted to keep cleaning the bank a while longer. They were happy that I was staying.

Angel and I walked to church from my sisters house. The singing at church was a lot of fun because I knew most of the songs. Our regular pastor was out sick, so we had a guest pastor and his sermon was fantastic. I wrote down a few quotes that he said “If you’ve lost your peace, return to praise” and “God is not concerned with how much you know but how much you grow”. After church, I chatted with people a while. Angel got tired of waiting for me and walked to my sisters on her own.

When I arrived at my sisters, Angel was playing Minecraft. She stayed there while I drove a couple of miles out of town and met with a new cleaning and organizing client. It was for a man in his 80’s and he told me what he needed done. I told him that I could do all that for him and we scheduled a time for me to come on a regular basis. His son was there and he told me he was a handyman and would tell people about my services. I asked him if he could fix a couple of electrical outlets in my camper and he said he could. Yay!

Angel was still playing Minecraft when I got to my sisters. I sat on the couch and talked with my sister a while. I got Angel off of the TV and we drove to New Meadows to check on Lucky.

I let Lucky out and did some things around the house. Then we went to Zim’s hot springs. It was super busy at Zim’s and I had to wait for people to leave in order to have a space to park my truck. The water wasn’t as warm as usual and I figured it was probably because the outside temperature was so cold. This morning when I got up it had been -4°F. Since then, it had warmed up to a balmy 18°F. I got in the smaller hot pool to get my core body temperature up. While I was in there, I saw my friend Brett arrive and get in the big pool. When I was sufficiently warm, I got back in the big pool and hung out with Brett. We stayed in the pool for an hour and a half and I swam one lap across the pool and back to get my heart rate up. I want to get my heart rate up at least once a day.

We got out and when we went inside the building, one of Angels homeschool friends were there with her parents and they were about to go swim. Angel wanted to swim with her friend and the parents said it was fine if she joined them. Brett and I got dressed and played a couple of games of scrabble. We were halfway through our second game when Angels friend and parents got out. I chatted with them a few minutes and thanked them for letting Angel join them. They left and Angel played on her phone until we finished our game.

Brett went home and we went to our pet sitting house. The dogs were happy to see us and I let them out. I fed Angel dinner and made myself tea. After Angel ate, we brushed our teeth and went to bed. I wrote my blog while Angel read a children’s book aloud. When I finished my blog, I read Angel a chapter of The Princess and the Unicorn. Then I read some of a Louis L’Amour book. I put on a sleep meditation and we went to sleep at around 9 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
