Walk in the Woods and Matinee Musical Club

Monday September 16, 2024,

Dear Diary,

I woke up at 6 AM. I had slept really good. I let out the chickens, ducks and geese. Then I laid in bed and wrote my blog. I was determined to get completely caught up on my blog by the end of the day. Around 8 am, I started a bath and went in the house and greeted Christopher. He was making breakfast. I made my tea and a banana, cacao, turmeric, wild apple/pear juice smoothie. I got in the bath and added a bunch of epsom salts. I enjoyed soaking and relaxing for a long time. When I got out, Christopher and I went for a long walk in the woods with the dogs. It was a great walk. We didn’t talk much, we just walked and enjoyed the peacefulness of the woods. Everything smelled fresh from the rain yesterday and the wilted plants were starting to perk up a little. We walked across the long bridge and did a loop around. We walked past the fairy gardens Angel and I had made and they still looked to be in fairly good condition.

When we got back to the house, Christopher went into his garden to see what was growing and I went into the hoop house I had made. I harvested some pumpkins and a jalapeño pepper. Everything seemed to be doing good in there. I asked Christopher if he was going to put the plastic cover on the hoop house in the winter for the citrus trees and he said yes. I was glad he was going to keep maintaining the citrus trees.

We sat outside by the fountain and I drank my smoothie. I started to feel hot and cooled off in the pool. I floated on my back and fully relaxed my body. When I got out, I took more pictures of things to sell and put them on-line. I felt tired and laid down in the banana hut. I immediately fell asleep for about 45 minutes. When I woke up, I wrote some of my blog. Then I got up and organized the inside of my truck. It was a mess from traveling. I took all of my traveling supplies out of boxes and put them into a bin. I organized everything thrown on the floor of the backseat and it looked great when I finished.

Next, I organized Angels bedroom. There wasn’t much in there since we took most of her stuff to Idaho. I straightened up her books and organized her clothes. Then I did the same thing in the banana hut with the few things I had left in there. I had run out of things to organize, so I went back outside and sat by the fountain with Christopher and wrote my blog.

At around 6 pm, I got ready to go to matinee musical club. I left early so that I could stop somewhere with wi-if and upload pictures and videos for my blog. I hadn’t posted my blog for a couple of days because I wanted to get some videos uploaded first. Using data at Christopher’s takes hours to upload a 2 minute video, so I waited until I could do it within seconds using wi-fi. I chose to stop at Moon Brew to upload the videos. Even though they were closed, I was able to connect to the wi-fi by standing at the door. It only took a couple of minutes to get the pictures and videos uploaded. Yay! Now I can post my blog with the videos and pictures added.

I arrived at Musical Club a few minutes early. As I got out of my truck, 2 other Musical Club members had arrived at the same time. A mother and daughter. They saw me and the daughter said that she had gotten me a going away gift and handed me a bag. I thanked her and we hugged. She had gifted me a rock painted with music notes, a bottle of lotion and a hand written card with beautiful words. Tears came to my eyes while reading the card. Her kind written words were the best gift of all. I put the gifts in my truck and we all walked in together.

It was great to see everyone at Musical Club. I was in charge of the program and the theme I had picked was the Fruits of the Spirit. I had assigned each fruit of the spirit to different members. They chose a song or poem that was about their designated “fruit”. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. I started out with love and sang the song I had sang to Christopher yesterday Always on my Mind. I cried through the whole song. The rest of the program went great. The other members performances were absolutely wonderful. We laughed and cried and everyone got a chance to perform. The other members really made the program amazing by sharing their creative talents. I ended the program by saying that even though fruit is wonderful, the best harvest of all are the fruits of the spirit.

When we all left, I walked my friend Mona home. Her car was having issues and she had walked there. I didn’t want her to walk home alone in the dark, especially since she had fallen last year and had broken her collar bone. She lives around the block and we had fun conversations on the walk there. She got home safely and I enjoyed the bright moon and the peaceful sounds of the night on the walk back.

I arrived at Christopher’s around 9:30 pm. He was already in bed. Bits had stayed there and he was super excited to see me. Christopher and I said goodnight and I went to the banana hut with Bits. Healer and LacyJane joined us. I wrote my blog for an hour and went to sleep at around 11 pm.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria

P.S. this blog post is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
