Dear Diary and Friends,
My sister called while I was at the library watching Angel and two of her friends participating in an improvisation acting class. My sister was in full-on panic mode, I could hear it in the tone of her voice as she told me her dog Huckleberry was missing. Huckleberry is very large chocolate lab with droopy eyes and big jowls that seem to produce a never ending supply of saliva that hang down in spiderwebs of slober . He is super sweet and gentle, despite how intimidating he looks. When my sister got home from work, Huckleberry was gone. He had figured out how to open the door to his outdoor kennel that he can go into from the house through his dog door.

I told my sister I would help her look for him. Five minutes later, Angel and her friends AJ and JC finished acting class and we walked back to my house and got on the 4-wheeler. We went all over town calling for Huckleberry but couldn’t find him. One of the back tires on the 4-wheeler was low on air, making it hard to drive. It was pulling hard to the left and was giving my arms a workout. I drove to the gas station that has free air and the air pump had a sign on it saying it was out of order. Drat !
When it was time for AJ and JC to go home, we went back to my house and they rode their bicycles home. I got out my air pump that plugs into the trucks DC connector and started putting air in the low tire. I called my sister to see if she had found Huckleberry. She hadn’t and told me where she had already looked for him. Angel and I went out looking for him some more on the 4-wheeler. Now that it had air in the tire, it was much easier to drive. We hadn’t looked for long when we came across my sister. She stopped her jeep and told us that she had just found Huckleberry up the road. I was grateful he was found and we all met back up at my sisters.
The dogs all played while I talked to my sister for a while and Angel played on the Nintendo. Then we went home, ate dinner (I had a few mandarin oranges) and got ready for bed. I read to Angel a chapter from Hank the Cowdog book #44. I tamped down the fire for the night and we went to bed. I posted on Facebook, wrote some of my blog, read for a while and went to sleep at around 9PM.
