Skating Rink, Square Dancing, Organizing and Goals

November 20, 2025

Morning prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for goals.
  • Thank you for kindness.
  • Thank you for pets.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Today’s Goals:

  • membership at the gym. (I’m having big resistance to this for some reason).
  • make juice.
  • read one chapter.

Dear Diary,

I’m switching things up with daily goals. I used to do daily goals and I liked it. Results from my first day of goals. 0 goals were met 😂, which I find really funny. I turned in my application at the gym but didn’t follow up on it when I received a call back. I completely forgot about making juice and reading a chapter 🤷‍♀️😂.

It was a great day, I enjoyed doing an organizing opportunity. I love organizing. Angel went to book club and jujitsu. In the afternoon we went to a homeschool skate party Friendsgiving potluck. It was great fun talking to the other parents and watching the kids play. One of the moms is “a caller” for square dancing and such. She taught us a dance called the Virginia Reel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_reel_(dance). Everyone loved it, it was a convivial occasion of connection and joy. We made plans to include folk dancing in future skate parties.

Angel fell while skating and bit her lip but it was minor and she was back playing within a few minutes. I ate stuff from the potluck that gave me a tummy ache but I didn’t let that stop me from enjoying myself anyway. The dogs got to be there and they did really good at behaving themselves.

One of Angels friends came home with us and the girls played while I rested on the couch. Then they went to jujitsu and I took a bath. When I got out, I started laundry washing and talked on the phone with Angels biological dad. Angel is interested in meeting him and we discussed the possibility of that happening. Angel came home from jujitsu and joined in the conversation. Then we got off the phone and I read 2 chapters from Runway Ralph and Angel read me one of her storybooks. I hung laundry on the indoor clothesline and we went to bed. I wrote my blog notes and went to sleep at around 10 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you!

Love, Victoria
