Morning prayer:
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for community.
- Thank you for chickens.
- Thank you for gifts.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I awoke at 12 AM, I wrote my blog and posted it and went back to sleep at 4:30 AM. I awoke again at 7 AM. I got up and fed the animals. I let out the chickens and headed home. It was my last night of farm sitting, so I striped my sheets off of the bed and started them washing. I made the bed with their sheets and straightened up the house. When my sheets were done washing, I put them in the dryer. I put the dog Izzy in the backyard where her doggie door is if she wants to go inside and told her I would be back later.
On the way home, I picked up Angel from my older sisters. I made tea and made Angel breakfast. I packed up leftover smoothie and we went to a cleaning opportunity. It was a new house that I hadn’t cleaned before. I did a thorough job of cleaning and had a wonderful time creating a masterpiece. Angel did her schoolwork while I cleaned and the house looked fantastic when I finished.
Next, we went for an hour long drive up the mountain and back. It was a beautiful drive. Autumn was showing off her colors. There was snow at around 4,000 feet but it wasn’t deep and the road was well traveled. We drove through an area where slash piles of wood were being burnt along the side of the road. It smelled like campfire and the fires looked pretty in contrast to the white snow.

When we got to town. I went to my farm sitting opportunity. I spent time with the cats and dog Izzy. I told them that their people would be home today and they were happy about that. I gave the chickens some grubs and watched the “chicken show”, while Izzy ran around playing.

When it was dinner time, I fed the cats and Izzy and told them their owner would be home soon. Then Angel and I went to my younger sisters. She has been working abroad and is home for a week. I was grateful she was making time to see us. We talked for a while and then went to eat at a new restaurant in Cambridge. We enjoyed each others company and it was good to spend time together.
When we got back home, I walked over to the bank and cleaned it. Then we got ready for bed. I read to Angel the last 3 chapters of The Mouse and the Motorcycle. We went to bed and drifted off to sleep.

Morning prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for trees.
- Thank you for a home.
- Thank you for wisdom.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
After having morning tea and fun conversations with my friend next door, I vacuumed her house. Then I took another friend to McCall. We enjoyed each others company on the drive, while Angel listened to an audiobook in the backseat, Little Bit looked out the closed window and snapped at cars driving by, and T-Boy laid on my friends lap. I took her to her friends house and got a few groceries at natural grocer. Angel got a bag of carrots to snack on and we shared them on the drive home, while we listened to Warriors: Fire and Ice. It’s the 2nd book in a series. We listened to the first book and it was really good. Now we are enjoying the 2nd book.
When we got to Council, I walked over to the bank to get a cashiers check to pay my down payment on the house I’m buying. Lo-and-behold, I quickly found out that I can only get a cashiers check from the bank I use. I can’t write a check from my bank to another bank. I didn’t have time to drive to my bank and back. I called my realtor and he said I could have my bank wire the money over to the title company. I called the title company and they sent me an email with the attachment to wire money. Then I called my bank and forwarded the information to them.
I had an hour before my appointment with the title company to sign all the paperwork to purchase the house and the money needed to be wired before then. I was suddenly filled with excited nervous energy. I kept checking my email in order to approve the request to wire the money. I made Angel lunch and kept reminding myself to relax and breathe. Finally at 2:57pm, 3 minutes before the meeting, I got the email to approve the money transfer. I approved it and quickly zipped over to the title company on the 4-wheeler.
Mr. and Mrs. H arrived just before me and we walked in together. We signed all the paperwork, Mr. and Mrs. H purchased the property and I signed all the paperwork to make mortgage payments to them via the title company. The title company in Council will now overnight the paperwork to the title company in Boise that the sell went through and I will get the keys to the house on Wednesday or Thursday. Woohoo!
I drove the 4-wheeler over to the house I just bought and Mr. and Mrs. H followed me. They wanted to see what they had just purchased since they bought the house sight unseen. I showed them around and they were really happy with the condition of the place. It is in really good shape for a 1978 single wide trailer. I bought a single wide years ago in Boise that was a huge mess and I fixed it up really cute. This house is much nicer and I’ll get it in even better shape. I am excited to start making it ours.
The rest of the evening, I cleaned my friend TJ’s and checked on the chickens. We got our first 3 eggs, the chickens are finally old enough to start laying. Next, I helped with Girls Club. The girls were really hyper tonight but they had fun. When we got home, I read a chapter from Runaway Mouse and we went to sleep at around 9:30 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you!
Love, Victoria
