Morning prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for gifts.
- Thank you for a slow paced life.
- Thank you for amazing opportunities.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
Angel woke up with a scratchy throat today. Therefore our plans to hike to Council Mountain Hot Springs were canceled. Instead we read and napped in the morning. I was grateful to have a restful morning basking in the sun shining through all the east windows.
Angel stayed home with the dogs and read the library book that I had gotten for her called Dog Man, while I did some shopping at the thrift store and went on a bicycle ride with my friend JJ. Angel really likes the Dog Man books and I’m thrilled that she is enjoying reading. The bicycle ride was really nice. The fall colors are so beautiful and the weather was perfect.
In the afternoon, I juiced apples, pears, zucchini and peaches and made 2 gallons of juice. Angel’s throat was feeling better and we decided to go to Zims hot springs with JJ. Before leaving town, I stopped at a clients to check on him, feed and water his cats and empty the litter box.

On the drive, we listened to an audiobook called Warriors: The Prophesy Begins-Into the Wild. It’s a great kids book series about clans of wild cats. Angel is reading the books for her book club but since the books haven’t arrived in the mail yet, we are listening to the first book on audio. I am enjoying the book as much as she is. It’s really good.
My friend JJ met us at Zims and she was already soaking in the hot pool when we arrived. It was really windy in New Meadows and the wind was ice cold. Zim’s can’t keep the big pool hot when there’s a strong icy wind and it was cold in there at only 90°F. I spent most of the time in the little hot pool which was holding at 104°F. I stretched and fully relaxed my body. It felt really nice.
When we got back to Council, I cleaned the bank and talked to a friend on the phone. Angel and I got into bed. She slept in the hammock next to me. I finished reading Babysitters Club book one and Angel read to me some of her Dog Man book. Then Angel told me that she had something she needed to tell me about when Little Bit got bit by a big dog we were pet sitting a few months ago. She said that she didn’t know that I had let the big dogs out when I went to feed the sheep. She had put Little Bit outside even though he didn’t want to go because she thought he would want to find me. Then she heard the dogs fighting and ran over and was able to get Little Bit away from the big dog and let him back into the house. Angel told me that she had been feeling guilty about what happened to Little Bit and wants to pay me for the surgery cost when she can make money. I told her that it was ok, she had made a mistake and she didn’t have to pay me back for the cost of the surgery. She said she had been wanting to tell me about what happened but had been scared that she would get in big trouble and that it was her fault Little Bit got hurt. I assured her that she wasn’t in trouble and I was glad she was brave enough to tell me. Angel said that she felt better now that she told me because it had been bothering her for months. I told her that she was a sweet girl and that Little Bit was ok now and it was all in the past. Angel seemed relieved and picked out a sleep meditation. I read some of my book some more. Then we turned out the light and went to sleep at around 10 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
