Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for friends.
  • Thank you for children.
  • Thank you for opportunities.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke at 1:30 AM. I wrote some of my blog and went back to sleep at 4 AM. I awoke again at 6:30 AM. I made tea and Angels breakfast. Angel woke up and ate while I made my bed and got ready for the day. I went to my neighbors and helped her pick peaches, then I vacuumed her house for her.

We went to McCall and I cleaned an Airbnb while Angel did her schoolwork. I finished cleaning right on time to meet my friend Rachele in Cascade. She is visiting from Texas and I had her meet me in Cascade so I could take her and her 2 boys to Trail Creek Hot Springs. I wanted her to experience one of the natural hot springs because they are amazing.

Rachele arrived at our meeting place a few minutes after me and it was great to see her. Her boys have grown a lot in the year since I’ve seen them last. She followed me to the hot springs and we all had a great time soaking in the mineral water. Rachele was recovering from poison Ivy so she soaked partially in the cold creek (which was really really cold) and partially in the hot springs. The kids had fun running around and going in the different pools.

We stayed at the hot springs for an hour or so. Then we went to McCall and ate at a restaurant overlooking Payette lake. I left to finish up a few things at the Airbnb I had cleaned earlier and when I got back, everyone was down by the water watching the glorious sunset and playing in the sand. I joined them and we stayed until the sun went all the way being the mountains.

Rachele followed me home and we all got settled in my little apartment. By the time we went to bed, it was 11 PM. I wrote my blog notes and went to sleep at 11:30 PM

Dear Diary,

I awoke at 5:30 AM. I had slept all the way through the night. I did some writing until everyone else woke up. Then I made breakfast for everyone and made my tea and smoothie. While everyone ate, we discussed what we were going to do with our day. Angel wanted to go to her first jujitsu class after summer break and we said we would come watch her.

Angel rode her bicycle to jujitsu and we walked over there a half hour later. We watched Angel until the class was over. Then we walked to the library. There was some free produce there for anyone to take. We took some squash and tomatoes and talked with people while the kids played games.

Next we walked to the downtown park and the kids played on the old steam engines. Then we went to the Mennonite store (Baker’s Pantry) and everyone decided to eat lunch there. After looking around the store, we sat outside and ate. There was a box of free fresh picked corn outside. Yay, more free food! We took 5 ears to have for dinner. Then we split up and the kids did their own thing while Rachele and I went to the gift shop (Huptye) and Tosha’s Herb Store. Even though Council is a small town, there’s a few really neat stores here. We would have gone to the Thrift Store too but it’s closed on Tuesdays.

We all met back at the apartment and left to go to Lost Creek Falls. It was a fun drive up there and the pine forest smelled so good. We arrived at the falls and made our way down to the water. Rachele’s oldest son who is 13, jumped off the rocks into the water. Angel thought about jumping but she ended up decided not to. We all had a really fun time swimming and playing in the water and looking for neat rocks.

We stayed for a couple of hours and went back to Council to my friend TJ’s. I hand watered the outside potted plants, took care of the chickens and cleaned out their coop. Rachele helped me and she also harvested a bunch of produce from the food forest yard. She had plans to made roasted vegetables for dinner from all the free produce we had gotten that day.

When we got to the house, it was getting dark. Rachele and I walked to M&W and got there right before they closed at 9 PM.  Then we started on dinner. Rachele cut up and roasted vegetables and I made corn on the cob. It was almost 10 PM by the time we ate. I’ve been eating raw, so the food sat really heavy on my stomach plus eating that late didn’t help things.

We all went to bed at around 11 PM and I went to sleep right away.

Dear Diary,

I awoke at 3 AM. I had a stomach-ache from eating heavy food late at night. I went back to sleep at 5 AM and slept until 7 AM. Everyone was still asleep. I got up and went to TJ’s to do laundry and start the sprinklers watering on the yard. When I got back. I made a bunch of juice for Rachele to take with her and then I made breakfast for everyone. I went to TJ’s to switch laundry and when I got back Rachele was packing up to leave. When she was ready to go, we got their clean laundry from TJ’s and met at the gas station. We said our goodbyes and I went home. I was cleaning up the kitchen when I saw that Rachele had left her box of medicine at my house. I called and left her a message and sent her a text. I called a couple more times but she didn’t answer. I didn’t know how far they had gotten but I knew she would have to come back to her medicine. I texted again and then she called. They were still in town and would be over to get the medicine. I was so glad she hadn’t left yet and set the medicine box at the bottom of the stairs.

Angel and I left to do some cleaning opportunities. When I finished my first house, my client asked if I wanted to pick nectarines off of her tree. I did want to and I picked a whole bunch. The nectarines were little but delicious. My next cleaning was for Mr. and Mrs. H. By the time I got there, I was tired and dragging. I watered the outside plants and helped organize an upstairs storage closet.

I was really really tired when I got home. I rested for a few minutes. Then I got up and cleaned the bank. After that, I cleaned my friend TJ’s. When we got home, we showered and went straight to bed. I was asleep by 9:30 PM.
