Morning Prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for fear.
- Thank you for faith.
- Thank you for kindness.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I awoke at 7 AM. I had slept hard all through the night. I was glad since I hadn’t slept good the night before from worrying about Little B. I got up and started laundry washing and let the dogs out in rotations. I fed the puppy and the ferrets and let out the ducks and sheep. I made sure everyone had water and I made myself some tea. Then I vacuumed the bedroom and sat on the couch the write my blog.
I received a text from my farm sitting clients saying that they will be home in an hour. I switched laundry and packed up all my stuff in the truck. Then I sat outside in the morning sun and wrote my blog some more. My clients arrived and we talked for a few minutes. They were really happy about their clean house and their animals.
When I left, I drove home and arrived just as the vet was opening up. I walked over there to see how Little B’s surgery went. The receptionist said that everything went good and went in the back to bring out Little B. The vet came out with her and he told me that there had been 2 punctures in Little B’s lung but they were sewn up and he should be just fine. Little B had a bandage wrapped around his middle and the receptionist gently handed him to me. It felt so good to hold him again. Little B seemed to be in a lot of pain but his eyes were clear and alert. The receptionist told me how much I owed them and I was surprised that it didn’t cost more. I paid the vet and walked home carrying Little B gently in my arms. On the way home, I stopped at my older sisters so that she could see Little B and so I could get Angel.
At home, I set Little B down on the daybed. The kitten was happy to see him and rubbed up against him. I laid down next to him for a while, gently petting him. Angel rode her bicycle home and played with her kitten in her room. Then, the handyman came over and put in a rod for hanging clothes in the front closet.
I walked across the street to attend a farmers market meeting. I wasn’t sure what I was going to sell at the market but Angel wanted to sell stuff and we would figure something out. I will be sharing a booth with another of the homeschool moms. During the meeting I realized that I was still feeling really tired. I could hardly keep standing. The stress from Little B getting hurt seemed to have zapped my energy. Once the meeting was over, I stayed and had help getting my tax ID number. Then I stopped at the thrift store next door and walked home.
I fed Angel, then we got in the truck and drove to Cambridge to do a one night overnight pet sitting. When I arrived, my client came outside with her dog. I was surprised to see her because I thought she would be gone. She was surprised to see me too and said that the pet sitting was next Saturday, not this Saturday. I wasn’t sure how that got mixed up since I had sent her a confirmation message yesterday and she had responded. I told her that I didn’t have next Saturday open. She was disappointed but that weekend has been booked for a while. Starting tomorrow, I do a pet sitting opportunity that lasts 2 weeks. She said that she would figure something else out and I apologized for the mix up.
I drove the back road home and enjoyed looking at the scenery and all the beautiful spring flowers. Little B was laying on his bed in the truck, when I saw some deer I stopped and told him. He perked right up, I held him and when he saw the deer his ears shot up and he watched and watched them until they ran off. It was good to see him act like his healthy self for a few minutes.
When we arrived home, Angel rode her bicycle over the library and got a bunch of DVD’s to watch. I laid on the couch with Little B and took a nap. I slept really hard for 2 hours. Shortly after I woke up, Aaron stopped by to see how Little B was doing. Little B was happy to see Aaron and wagged his little stub tail excitedly. I was happy to see Aaron too but my tail didn’t wag.
After Aaron left, Angel and I got ready for bed early. We each took a shower and I read Angel all of a Nancy Drew Diaries book. Then I watched a movie about a lady surviving in the Wyoming mountains. When the movie was over, I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at around 10:30 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
P.S. this blog post was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
P.S.S. This was Saturday. A lot has happened since then. Stay tuned.
