Morning Prayer:

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for my mom.
  • Thank you for evening walks.
  • Thank you for connection.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

Dear Diary,

I awoke at 7 AM and started writing my blog. Angel woke up at around 8 AM and went to find her grandma to see about getting some breakfast. Angel always wakes up hungry. I continued writing my blog and at 9 AM, I was almost finished when Angel came in the room and said that grandma told her to tell me that we were leaving for church in 6 minutes. I jumped out of bed and found my mom. I asked her what time church started and she said 9:30 AM. I told her that I would take a few minutes to get ready and I would meet her and Angel there.

They left for church and I got ready to go. Then I started a load of laundry washing and drove to my mom’s church. I arrived 10 minutes late and couldn’t see my mom from the back the chapel, the church is fairly big with a lot of people. A young man was giving his testimony and I didn’t want to be a distraction so I stayed in the back. After the young man’s testimony, he was baptized. Then everyone stood up to sing. That was my opening to go find my mom. I found her right away close to the front and joined in with the singing as I got settled in.

During the sermon about faith, I enjoyed watching the pastor and appreciated the way he used his hands to enhance what he was saying. After church, I drove to my moms and waited for her to arrive with Angel. I waited a while, then I decided to drive to the car wash, this time remembering to bring my purse with me. While I was at the car wash my mom sent me a text about going on to lunch. I called her and told her that my stomach was still not all the way better and I didn’t want to go out to eat. She said that she would take Angel somewhere to eat and I replied saying that would be great and I would meet her at her house.

When I got to my moms, I changed the sheets on the beds that Angel and I slept in. Then I changed the sheets in one of her other guest rooms. When my mom got there, together we changed the sheets in her last guest room. Now all of her beds had fresh clean sheets.

We hugged my mom goodbye and she paid me for helped her. I thanked her for her generosity and we hearted (headed) towards home. I decided to drive home on the dirt roads that go from Emmett to Indian Valley. I had never been that way before but I heard it was beautiful. Aaron drove that way the other day and sent me an incredible photo of one of the views. I wanted to see that photograph in real life.

The drive was amazing. The green foothills were covered in flowers and the creeks were running high. My gps got stuck when I was out in the middle of nowhere (which is somewhere) and there was no cell service to get it going again. At the same time I saw that we were going straight into some dark clouds with thunder and lightning. I briefly thought about turning around but I knew I wasn’t about to do any backtracking. I figured I could find my way without a map and would be fine driving in a thunder storm.

I continued on and came into some rain but not very much. I stopped several times to let Bits run while I took pictures of plants and the scenery. All was going great until I came to a fork in the road. I had no idea which way to go. I started to go to the left but then I saw a truck coming down the road on the right. Thinking that was the way through, I turned around and took the road on the right. I almost changed my mind again but stayed on the road I was on. It was good that I did because it took me straight to Indian Valley.

When I arrived in Council, my clean truck was dirty again 😂. I stopped and picked up my check for cleaning the Assembly of God church from the people whose land my camper had been parked on. I thanked them again for letting me park my camper there and let them know I really appreciated all they did to help me out.

Next, I drove outside of town to check on a cat. I gave her fresh food and water and scooped the litter box. When I got home, Angel helped me unload our luggage and the groceries. Then she rode her bicycle over to my sisters. The lady who cleaned the bank for me Friday brought me the key while I put the groceries away. I showed her around the apartment and thanked her for cleaning for me.

Angel came home and I made her dinner. We played a couple games of What’s the Point while she ate. Then I took a shower and when I got out, I read Angel a chapter from William H. McGuffey, Boy Reading Genius while she sat on the floor playing with her tinker toys. When I finished reading, we went to bed. I wrote my blog notes and had a brief conversation with Aaron saying goodnight. Then I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at around 10 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
