Tuesday: A Day Off, Hanging Around Town

Tuesday April 15, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for rest days.
  • Thank you for kittens.
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I awoke at 5:30 AM. I played wordle and connections and did not write my blog. I took a long hot shower and talked to Aaron on the phone when I got out. I made Angel breakfast and she ate, then rode her bicycle to jujitsu. I thought about going to women’s Bible study but decided this was a good time to make juice instead.

I made 64 oz. of homemade almond milk, 32 oz. of grape/apple juice and a gallon and a half of pineapple/apple/carrot juice. Yay!! Just as I finished cleaning up the kitchen, Angel came home from jujitsu.

I made Angel lunch and we walked to the Thrifty Store. When we got home, I rearranged the living room to make room for a daybed that one of my clients is giving to me and bringing tomorrow. I am looking forward to sleeping in a bed. I like sleeping in my hammock but I don’t like the slippery fabric it is made out of. I need a cotton hammock.

One of Angels friends rode over on her bicycle with Angel and they played in Angels room. I relaxed in the hammock for a while until Angel’s friend was ready to go home. We all rode our bicycles over to Angels friends house to take her home. Her mom is my friend Camille. We stayed a while, I talked to Camille while the girls jumped on the trampoline.

When we came home, I made Angel dinner and we played a game of Race Across the USA. Then we rode our bicycles to the Assembly of God church for Girls Club. We were doing something different for Girls Club this week, we were going to walk around town and pick up garbage. We waited for all the girls to show up and walked the neighborhood around the church. The girls really got into the project and did a great job. There wasn’t that much garbage to pick up but we found enough to keep the girls busy. When we got back to the church, the girls played tag until it was time to go. Another girl that goes to Girls Club rode her bicycle too and we rode home with her before we went to our place.

At home, I made some “nice cream” out of frozen bananas and we ate it while we played another game of Race Across the USA. Then I read Angel a chapter from William H. McGuffey, Boy Reading Geniusand she read her 101 Dalmatians book to me. We got ready for bed and I talked to Aaron on the phone for a while. We have the best conversations.

When I got off the phone, I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. Then I went to sleep at around 10 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
