Dear Diary,
Good morning God
- Thank you for this day
- Thank you for morning walks
- Thank you for cool crispy air.
- Thank you for bird songs.
- Thank you for sunshine.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I woke at 6:15 AM. I felt very well rested. I got up and took a long hot shower. Then I opened up the house to let the sunshine in and sat at the kitchen table and wrote my blog. I made Angel breakfast and woke her up. I had her breakfast sitting at the table waiting for her when she came into the kitchen. I like to have food ready for her when she wakes up. She wakes up hungry and it’s best to have her eat first thing, otherwise she is cranky.
While Angel was getting dressed. I took Bits on a morning walk around the block. It was a beautiful morning, the birds were singing and the trees are in bloom. When I got back, we left to go to a cleaning opportunity. I chatted with my client and got started cleaning and doing laundry. Angel sat at the table with my client and did her schoolwork while I cleaned. He helped Angel with questions she had about how to do her schoolwork. He likes helping her with school and she likes having the help.
When we got home, I made Angel her lunch and we bicycle over to another house where I was hired to do some weeding. It was a gorgeous day out and Angel sat in the soft grass under a tree. I was thinking that I would be doing weeding in a garden but that wasn’t the case. My client had a blow torch and wanted me to burn the weeds along the edge of the road. She asked if I knew how to work the torch and even though I had never used one before I could see how it worked. I got started and it was a lot of fun. It took me a couple of hours to get the job done and my client was happy with my work.
We bicycled home and rested for a while. Then we bicycled over to Aaron’s. Angel rode around with the neighbor kids while Aaron and I sat outside and talked. It was a lovely afternoon and I sat in the sun soaking up some vitamin D.
I had messaged my friend Camille earlier asking if Angel could play with her daughter. She messaged back saying that Angel was welcome to come over. Angel rode over there and I followed her a little while later. I had a good talk with Camille about church and gardening and chickens. She showed me all the plants growing in her green house. I long for a yard to grow my own food and am grateful that another friend is sharing her yard with me while she is working out of town this summer. It’s still not the same as having my own yard. In my own yard I would be putting in an outdoor bathtub like I had in Texas. On the other hand, it’s also fun having an apartment downtown, I might try to grow some indoor edible plants.
We got home from Camille’s and I fed Angel dinner. Then she went to play practice and I walked over to clean the bank. When I finished cleaning, I bicycled over to a ladies house to talk to her about pet sitting for her next week. I met her dogs and cats and she told me all that I needed to do to take care of them. Then we sat and talked about life for a while, starting a new
On my way home, I stopped at Aaron’s again and we talked briefly. Then we hugged and I rode home. Aaron and I are establishing a strong friendship before going any further in our relationship and I really like that. Angel had gotten home from play practice and was in her room painting when I got home. I made her a snack and we each took a shower and got ready for bed. I read her a chapter out of William H. McGuffey, Boy Reading Genius. Then we went to bed. I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. I was asleep by 10:15 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
