Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for yoga.
- Thank you for light.
- Thank you happy dreams.
- Thank you for cell phones.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 7 AM. I had slept through the night. I posted the blog that I had written before I went to sleep and started Angel’s breakfast cooking. I put on classical music and made myself tea and a smoothie. When Angel’s breakfast was almost ready, I woke her up. She got ready and ate. I started her lunch cooking and wrote out my morning thank you’s. As soon as her lunch was ready, I packed up our food and we hearted (headed) out.
First, we went to Lila’s, I fed her and let her out. Then Angel stayed with her and did her schoolwork while I went down the block to clean the Assembly of God church. I enjoyed cleaning and when I got back, Angel had finished her school. I told her that she needed to do more challenging schoolwork because she is getting it finished way too fast. I let Lila out again and drove to Cambridge to do another cleaning opportunity.
On the drive we listened to a Nancy Drew audiobook. Angel ate her lunch on the way and I told her that was all the food she had for the entire day. She said that she was hungry. I thought about a way to get her more food. There’s no fast food places up here in the mountains. There is a Chinese food restaurant in Cambridge though and I figured I could get her some rice from there.
The cleaning opportunity went great. My client was out of town and coming home later that day. I knew she would love coming home to a sparkling clean house. On our way to my next cleaning opportunity, I stopped by the Chinese restaurant in Cambridge and got an order of steamed rice for Angel to eat later. We were going to be gone until late in the day and I knew she would be hungry again before we got home.
I cleaned the next house and Angel played on her Nintendo switch. That cleaning also went great and I enjoyed myself. Cleaning is very therapeutic for me. I like creating a clean environment. It looks so nice and fresh when I’m finished.
Next, we went down the road to do an organizing opportunity. I like organizing even more than cleaning. My client had me organize their plastic containers in the kitchen. I found all the ones that had matching lids and put them nicely in the cupboard. Everything else went away. I also organized the cupboard with all the bowls, plates and drinking glasses. It all looked fantastic when I was done. While I was busy organizing, Angel ate her rice and played on her Nintendo switch.
When we arrived back in Council, I let Lila out and fed her. Then Angel stayed at my older sisters while I cleaned the bank. I listened to Gregg Allmans memoir My Cross to Bear while I worked. When I finished, I got Angel, went to Lila’s and let her out and we went home. I talked on the phone for a while and wrote my blog notes. Then I put on a sleep meditation and drifted to sleep at 11 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
