Tuesday March 11, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for good sleep.
  • Thank you for spring.
  • Thank you for people.
  • Thank you for an abundance of everything I need.
  • Thank you for compassion.

I love you!

I awoke at 7 AM. I had slept deeply through the night. I started laundry washing and got Angels birthday presents set up so that she would see them when she woke up. I wrote my blog and posted it. Angel was still asleep, so I started her breakfast and woke her up. Angel opened her presents while her breakfast cooked and I switched the laundry. For myself, I made tea and a smoothie. I received a text  from a pet sitting client asking if I could do a last minute overnight pet sitting opportunity in McCall. I had a busy day scheduled but I wasn’t going to say no to an opportunity to make some extra income. Angel liked her presents and ate her breakfast. I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday. She said that she wanted to ride Gracie, the horse she had rode yesterday. I called Noah and he said that he would be around that afternoon and we were welcome to come out. I figured we could fit it in between 3 PM and 5 PM.

We went to Lila’s, fed her and let her out. I dropped Angel off at jujitsu and went to church for Women’s Bible study. After Bible study, I picked up Angel from jujitsu and we let Lila out on my way to a cleaning and organizing opportunity. My client, who has become my friend offered to let me park my camper at her place and offered to let me use her chicken coop to raise chickens and asked me to take care of her yard and garden this summer while she is working out of town in trade. Yes, I said. I was grateful for the wonderful opportunity.

We worked together for a couple of hours cleaning and organizing her multi-purpose room and it looked great when we finished. Angel didn’t have to do her schoolwork since it was her birthday and she played educational games on her phone while I worked.

Next we drive to Cambridge for Angel to ride Gracie. She rode all around the property and Noah rode with her on another horse part of the time. I sat in the sun and drifted off to sleep. My mom called and wok me up. She wanted to wish Angel a happy birthday and Angel talked to her a few minutes when she took a break from riding. Angel was getting frustrated because she couldn’t get Gracie to do what she wanted. I kept reminding her that she had to let the horse know who was in charge and when Gracie didn’t cooperate, she needed to back Gracie up or make her walk in a circle to remind her who was the boss.

Angel rode for a couple of hours, then we went back to Council. We stopped at home and I made Angel dinner and packed our overnight bag. Angel’s dinner took longer to cook than I expected and we were running a few minutes late for me to get to the city council meeting on time. I dropped Angel off at Girls Club and got to the meeting 3 minutes late. Those meeting start right on time and the 3 minutes I missed covered a lot of the water project the town was doing. The editor of the newspaper wanted me to send him a recording of the water project discussion and I was feeling frustrated about missing most of it.

I recorded the rest of the meeting and took notes. The meeting went quickly and was finished in less than an hour, which was nice. I let Lila out and fed her. Then I went to girls club and picked up Angel. She was excited because she had won some prizes. One of the prizes was a kids spray on perfume. I told her to not spray it inside and she got in the truck while I talked with my friend who runs Girls Club

When I got in the truck, Angel had sprayed the perfume all over inside there and it gave me an instant headache. The smell was awful. Most perfume and cologne smell horrible to me and give me a headache from the toxins they put out but this was the worst smell ever. I was tired, it was after 8 PM and I still had to drive to McCall. We drove the whole way to McCall with the windows down and the heat on full blast.

When we arrived at my pet sitting house. I let the dog Raymond out and had Angel strip off her clothing and take a shower. I brought our stuff in and cleaned out the truck. I told Angel that she was going to have to throw away the perfume because it was really toxic and surprisingly she willingly did it.

We brushed our teeth and got into bed. I put on a sleep meditation and we went to sleep at 11:30 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
