Monday March 10, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

– Thank you for this day.

– Thank you for opportunities.

– Thank you for books.

– Thank you for sunshine.

– Thank you for acceptance.

– Thank you for sisters.

I love you!

I awoke at 2 AM. I played wordle and connections. Then I fell back asleep while I was writing my blog. I awoke again at 7:30 AM. Angel woke up at the same time and I made her breakfast. I made myself tea and a smoothie. While waiting for Angels breakfast to cook, we played What’s the Point. After Angel ate, we went to Lila’s, fed her and let her out. Then we went to a cleaning opportunity. Angel did her schoolwork and then watched a nature show with my client. I did laundry and cleaned for 2 hours. I didn’t get the laundry finished and offered to come swap it out later for no charge. My client is an older man in his late 80’s and it’s difficult for him to do things around the house. He told me that he could finish the laundry himself and I told him to call me if he changed his mind, otherwise I would be back next Monday. We left and went to Lila’s to let her out. My next opportunity was organizing for an older couple out in the country towards Cambridge. I helped the lady organize her bedroom and we had a lot of fun together. At one point, we took a break and I went outside to get my tea out of the truck. My clients husband was out there and he had a friend helping him clean up outside. The friend (let’s call him Noah) and I started talking about metaphysics. Angel came outside and somehow we got on the subject of horseback riding. Noah offered to let her ride one of his horses after I finished work. I took him up on his offer and he said we could follow him to his place on the other side of Cambridge. I got back to work and when I finished, we follow Noah to his place. We met his 2 horses and he put Angel on a horse named Gracie. It was obvious the horse was well trained and Angel rode bareback. She rode around the corral for a while, then Noah let her ride down the driveway to the mailbox. We walked down with her to see how she did.

Angel was doing great on the horse, so Noah let her ride around the property while he showed me his guest house and house. He had built a lot of it himself and it was beautiful. He talked about how he eats really healthy and at age 76 he doesn’t take any medication and has no health problems. He eats only fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds and wild harvested meat. We eat the same, other than I don’t eat meat. We had a lot of other things in common, neither of us use a microwave or have a TV and we both practice positive thinking. He had some stew cooking that had vegetables and elk meat and he offered me some. I was tempted even though I hadn’t eaten meat in years. I knew the elk was clean meat and not full of antibiotics, medication or cancer like store bought meat is but the thought of putting meat in my mouth and chewing it up grossed me out. I thanked him but didn’t accept his offer. He told me about his girlfriend. She lives down in the valley and is originally from Brazil. She comes up to stay with him on the weekends. I have a feeling that all of us are going to be good friends.

When we went back outside, Angel was still happily riding Gracie. Noah asked if I wanted to wash my truck. My truck was almost completely covered in mud from driving the muddy dirt roads. I did want to wash my truck. I like keeping my truck clean but don’t have a place to wash it in Council. Noah got out the hose and ladder and we got my truck sparkling clean. Yay!

When Angel got tired of riding, we put the horse away and I thanked Noah. He said that we were welcome to come out anytime he was home and Angel could ride. We drove to Council and Angel went to my older sisters while I cleaned the bank. When I finished, we went to Lila’s. I fed her and let her out, then we stopped at Dollar General. Angel stayed in the truck and I bought her somethings for her birthday, which is tomorrow. When we got home, I filled up water jugs from the spigot, fed Angel and did dishes. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed. I put on a sleep meditation and wrote down my blog notes. We drifted off to sleep at around 10:30 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
