Friday: Volunteering, Cleaning and Life Coaching

Friday March 7, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for sunrises.
  • Thank you for fear.
  • Thank you for a reliable vehicle.
  • Thank you for birds singing.

I love you!

I woke at 5:30 AM. I posted my blog and played wordle and connections. Angel woke up and I made her breakfast. I made myself tea and smoothie. We played a few games of Blokus and What’s the Point. Then we went to Lila’s, fed her, let her out and went to the Assembly of God church to help with swapping the toddler room and the pastors office. There were 4 women (including me) and a teenager there to do the work. It was a lot of fun and I got to use my organizing skills, which is one of my favorite things to do. It took us two hours and looked fantastic when we were done.

When I left the church, I went to the senior center and put in a bid for cleaning. Then I picked up Angel from Jujitsu. She had walked to Jujitsu from the church when I was helping swap rooms. We went to Lila’s and let her out then went to a new cleaning opportunity out in the country. Angel did her schoolwork while I cleaned. The cleaning went really well. I cleaned for 4 hours and my new client was very happy with my work and attention to detail.

Next, we went back to the Assembly of God Church and I cleaned it. Just as I was finishing, I received a text message from one of my coaching clients asking if we were still doing our appointment. The time and day of our appointment had gotten changed and I hadn’t been paying attention to the time. I was 15 minutes late m. I immediately called her up and apologized for being late. She understood and we started our session. Angel walked a couple of blocks to my older sisters while I was on the phone. It was a wonderful session and we rescheduled another appointment in two weeks. I really love doing life coaching. I’m considering advertising for it again and getting a few more clients.

I went to my sisters to check on Angel. Then I walked to the bank and cleaned it. WhileI cleaned, I listen to an audiobook memoir by Gregg Allman called My Cross to Bear. I’ve really been enjoying the book so far. When I finish cleaning, I walked back to my sisters and got Angel. My sister and I talked for a few minutes and then Angel and I went home. We brushed our teeth and she read a children’s book out loud and I read Blaze and the Forest Fire by C.W. Anderson. We got into bed and I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. We fell asleep at around 10:15 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
