Thursday: Library, Cleaning, Pet Sitting, Zim’s and Stress

Thursday March 6, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for a clear mind.
  • Thank you for deep sleep.
  • Thank you for childhood trauma.
  • Thank you for healing.
  • Thank you for connections.

I love you!

I awoke at 6 AM. I had slept deeply through the night. My mind was clear and my body felt good again. I was so glad I had eaten well yesterday. It felt so good to feel good and not have a cloudy mind. I got dressed and drove to Lila’s. I fed her and let her out. When I got home, I made tea and started Angels breakfast. She woke up and played on her phone while her breakfast was cooking. I wrote my blog and finally finished writing Sundays entry. I made a salad to take with me, a smoothie and a sandwich for Angel. After cleaning up the kitchen, Angel and I played a couple games of What’s the Point. We went to Lila’s and let her out. Then I checked to see if the senior center was open so I could put in a cleaning bid but it was closed. I stopped by my older sisters and ran in to grab my yoga mat. The other day, I found out that the Nazarene church has a Thursday yoga class at the same time as Angel is at jujitsu, which is perfect and I am free every other Thursday at that time.

I dropped off Angel at jujitsu and went to the Nazarene church. There were no cars in the parking lot so I sent a message asking if yoga was still happening. I received a reply saying that it was canceled this week. I decided that I would go to the library and write my blog while waiting for Angel to finish her jujitsu.

While I was at the library, I saw some great children’s books about a horse names Blaze written by C. W. Anderson. I checked a bunch of them out. When Angel finished jujitsu. She walked over to the library and I read her one of the books before we left. It was called Blaze and the Forest Fire and she really liked it.

We checked on Lila and let her out. Then we hearted (headed) to McCall to do a cleaning opportunity. On the drive, we listened to a Nancy Drew audiobook and I drank my smoothie. My clients weren’t home when I arrived but the lady had left Angel a maze book and always has a bunch of kids puzzles set out. Angel did her schoolwork, then she did some mazes and put puzzles together. I enjoyed cleaning and listened to a memoir by Gregg Allman called My Cross to Bear. As I was finishing up, my daughter Savana’s dad called to see how I was doing and we had a really good talk.

After cleaning, we stopped by the coffee shop and I got a chai tea. Then we went to Natural Grocer’s. There was a new guy working there named Christopher. He was stocking the shelves and couldn’t find where to put an item. I looked around and helped him find it. We had a fun conversation while doing all of that. Next we stopped at Maverick and got gas. There were deer walking all over the parking lot and Bits was super excited about that.

On our way home, we stopped at Zim’s. My friend Brett was there was he was sitting on the hot pool which was unusual. I stepped into the big pool and it was luke warm. There had been a strong icy wind blowing the past couple of days and it had taken the heat out of the water in the big pool. The small pool was a lot smaller and easier to keep warm. I quickly joined Brett in the hot pool but Angel didn’t seem to mind the cooler water and played happily in the big pool.

I chatted with some people from Minnesota that were there on vacation and told them about some undeveloped hot springs they can visit while they are here. We didn’t stay at Zim’s very long because I was getting overheated in the hot pool. It’s 106 degrees and it’s hot. Also I’ve been feeling like Brett is still wanting to be more than friends. I’m always on guard around him, making sure I’m not leading him on in anyway and I feel exhausted after spending time with him. Plus he’s always broke and never has any money and I myself was feeling really stressed about spending a bunch of the money to get the apartment. I can’t seem to get ahead with money in Idaho. The amount people will pay for cleaning is a lot less than in Texas and the cost of living is higher. I wished I had someone to share the bills with instead of doing it all on my own. I was feeling angry and frustrated at life and considering moving back to Texas where life seemed to be a lot easier and I have an abundance of wonderful friends. I know if I move back to Texas though, I will ache for the wilderness and mountains again. I know I’m supposed to be here in Idaho. Summer is coming and I want to play in the mountains. I will be fine and opportunities always come my way in abundance.

When we got back to Council. I fed Lila and let her out. Then I went to Dollar General to see if they had Uno so I could teach Angel how to play it. I think she would like it. They didn’t have Uno but a supply of summer stuff had arrived and they had pool noodles for a dollar each. I got 4 of them and a game called Blokus.

At home, I started laundry washing and we played Blokus. It was pretty fun. Then I switched the laundry and we got ready for bed. We brushed our teeth, I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. I remembered our laundry and went up and got it. Then I went back to bed and fell asleep at 10 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
