Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day!
- Thank you for sunshine.
- Thank you for board games.
- Thank you for my children.
- Thank you for acceptance.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 1 AM. I posted my blog and played wordle and connections. At 3 AM, I slept more until 7 AM. I felt well rested. Angel woke up at the same time and was hungry. We listened to positive scriptures while I made Angel’s breakfast and made myself tea. We played a game of Sorry and I made a smoothie. We played a second game of Sorry. We were in the middle of the game when my adult daughter called and we made more plans for when she comes to visit. When I got off the phone, we played a game of Yahtzee and got ready to leave.
We went to a house outside of Cambridge to interview a couple who had just started a fresh roasted coffee business called Warfield Coffee Roasters. https://warfieldcoffeeroasters.com . On the drive we listed to Nancy Drew and The Captive Witness Mystery.
The interview was great fun. The couple told their story about wanting to roast their own coffee because they like to eat organic fresh food and that includes their coffee. They shared how they grow their own organic food and didn’t have to buy one vegetable from the store last summer. My kind of people! Their story about how their business got started was because of their Great Pyrenees dog Lucy. She wanders and the Warfields started giving fresh roasted coffee to their neighbors as an apology for their dog. Soon their coffee was in high demand and they couldn’t keep up with the orders with their small coffee roaster. They purchased a larger coffee rooster from a local company in Sandpoint, Idaho and their business was born. They shared a cup of their coffee with me and even though I don’t normally drink coffee, I enjoyed drinking it black. It was delicious but I got stomach cramps and felt nauseous from drinking half a cup. The feeling stayed with me all day but I didn’t give it much attention.

After the interview, I went to a cleaning opportunity in Council. It was a new client and he was a really kind man in his 80’s whose wife died recently. Angel did her schoolwork while I cleaned and when she finished, the man turned on PBS kids for her to watch. I listened to the show she was watching and it was about accepting everyone despite their differences in nationality or skin color. It was a great show. My client definitely needed help with cleaning his house and wanted me to get done what I could in 2 hours. I got an amazing amount cleaned in 2 hours and we scheduled for me to come back again next Monday.
On the way home to our camper, we stopped at my older sisters and I grabbed a few boxes of our stuff from upstairs and brought it into the camper. I found places for it all and I feel confident that I will actually be able to fit all of our stuff in there. I keep getting rid of stuff too and it feels good to let go of being attached to things.
After getting things organized again, I wrote part of the article about Warfield Coffee Roasters while Angel played with her toys in her bed. She really likes her bunk beds. The top bunk is her bed and the bottom bunk is her play area. When it was time for me to clean the bank we went back to my older sisters. She was home from work and we talked a few minutes. Angel brought some of her stuff down from upstairs to take to the camper, then she played Minecraft. I brought some more boxes down too and set everything by the door.
I walked to the bank and cleaned it for the last time. Well maybe not the last time since I will still be kept on as a substitute if the new lady they are hiring needs a day off. I love cleaning the bank but I’m excited to have my Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings free to do other things. Plus I got hired to clean the Assembly of God Church. It’s the church I attend and that is even better than cleaning the bank. It’s once a week and I can do it during the day.
When I got back from cleaning the bank, I talked to my sister for an hour. Then I got Angel off of Minecraft and we packed the stuff we had set by the door into the truck and we drove home. We unloaded the truck and I put everything we had brought in away. Then Angel read aloud Hide and Snake. I set up my bed which is the fold out couch and we snuggled up while I read aloud a few chapters of How to Eat Fried Worms. Angel went to bed and I put on a sleep meditation. I finished writing the article about the coffee roasters and thought it turned out well. Then I wrote some of my blog until I was too tired to write anymore. I went to sleep at around 11 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
