Sunday December 22, 2024

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for opportunities.
  • Thank you for family.
  • Thank you for Angel.
  • Thank you for snow.
  • Thank you for smoothies.
  • Thank you for deep breaths.

I love you!

I awoke at 1:30 AM. I played wordle and connections and wrote my blog. I edited and posted my blog and went back to sleep at 4:30 AM. I slept restlessly for an hour. At 5:30 AM, I got up and got ready to leave to do a drop in pet sitting opportunity and a wood sorting and stacking opportunity before church. I made tea and a smoothie. My smoothie had 8 bananas blended with fresh fruit juice. I had enough juicer to make tomatoes smoothie and then I worked bed to make more. I had the pineapples to make more juice but I needed carrots, apples and ginger. I felt a small amount of inflammation in my body from eating some of less than ideal food yesterday at the family get together. I’d eaten a tiny sliver of pumpkin pie and 2 small pieces of fudge. While I moved about the kitchen, I listened to an audiobook about self discipline.

I packed up my tea and smoothie and drove to my pet sitting opportunity. I sat on the couch with the animals and spent some time petting and loving on them. When it was time to go sort wood, I drove over there. It was just starting to get light out. I cleaned up woods shaving around the splitter while the man who hired me warmed it up. As soon as the splitter was warm, we got started. He ran the rounds through the splitter while I threw the good pieces in the trailer and threw the bad pieces behind me.

I worked for two and a half hours until it was time to get ready for church. I drove home to change clothes and my sister met me at the door. She was angry about some things that were bothering her with us staying at her place. I’d been being very careful to not do anything to upset her with us staying there but I obviously had missed some things. Oh how I long to have my own place.

Angel was still asleep upstairs and my sister said she could stay there with her. I got ready for church and drove there instead of walking. I was feeling upset about how difficult it was for me to live with my sister and I had the prayer team pray over me. During the second half of the service I went with the kids to childrens church and we all practiced for the Christmas program that we were performing that evening. I was singing Mary Did You Know.

After church, I drove home. Angel was still asleep and had a slight fever again. I had thought she was fully recovered from being sick but it had come back in full swing. I tucked her in and left to McCall to do a cat sitting opportunity. On the drive I listened to The Secret Midwife. I really enjoyed the drive. Even though it’s an hour drive to McCall, I don’t mind. It’s such a beautiful drive. I love the mountains so much. I never get tired of looking at them.

I spent time petting the cat and washed some more bedding and towels.

When I got back home, I crawled into bed next to Angel and took an hour nap. I slept deeply and woke up just in time to get ready to go back to church for the Christmas program. Before going to the church, I went to a pet sitting opportunity and fed the dogs and cats. I sat with them and petted them while I wrote some of my blog.

At church, the program went great. I had fun singing and watching the kids. When it was over, the lady who is married to the man I’ve been helping split woods offered to let me park my motorhome on their property. I was not expecting that but that would be wonderful. She said that they have full rv hook ups and they wouldn’t charge rent, I would just have to cover my electricity. Wow! I thanked her so much for their generosity. Their land is beautiful with a view of the entire valley. I would very much like living there, plus they have horses and I know Angel would love that. I told her that I would need to get my motorhome winterized but I will probably do it.

When I got home, Angel was awake and playing on her phone. Her fever had broke again and she said she eaten some blueberries and raspberries. I got in bed next to her and we cuddled up while I wrote my blog notes. Then we fell asleep at 8:30 pm listening to Little House in the Big Woods

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for friends.
  • Thank you for laughter.
  • Thank you for singing.
  • Thank you for prayer.
  • Thank you for opportunities.

I love you!

I awoke at 5 am. I had slept through the night. Angel was awake too. Her fever had broke again and she said she was hungry. That was a good sign. I got up and got dressed. I made tea and a smoothie and brought some of the smoothie upstairs for Angel along with some cutie oranges. I turned on the TV for Angel to watch. She chose to watch Dora the Explorer. I gave Angel a kiss goodbye and left to go do my income making opportunities for the day.

My sister worked from home today and  stayed home with her.

I drove to a pet sitting opportunity and sat petting the dogs and cats for a while after I fed them. Then I drove to Cambridge to do a cleaning opportunity. I enjoyed cleaning and my client had me do a bunch of extra things to get ready for Christmas. My sister called and said she wasn’t feeling good. She asked if I would stop at the store to buy chicken so that she could make chicken noodle soup. I told her I would, even though I personally thought it wasn’t the best choice. In my opinion, fasting is best when the body is sick and detoxing. Of course, I truly only know what’s best for me.

I stopped at the store when I got back to Council and bought organic chicken and carrots. I dropped them off to my sister and checked on Angel. She was still laying in bed watching TV. Her fever was gone but she said she wanted to continue to rest in bed. I gave her some more smoothie and left to go help deliver a load of split wood.

When I got there, the man I split wood with (let’s call him Tim) said that the guy we were supposed to deliver the wood to canceled. I tried calling my younger sister to see if she wanted the wood because I knew she needed some. She didn’t answer and I left her a message. I sat and chatted with Tim while waiting for my sister to call back. We had fun talking. He’s an easy going guy. He talked to me about moving my motorhome there. Tim liked the idea of having us there on the property and said he had skirting I could put around the motorhome. That’s awesome. He also said he would still pay me to help him with the wood. I told that I could help out with the farm in exchange for rent and he said that wouldn’t be necessary. Tim’s wife came in from her office and said she wanted to show me a few more things about the horses while they are gone. I will be farm sitting for them December 24-27. We went out to the barn and she showed me how to give the horses their colic medicine if they needed it. I told her that after we moved there that I would be happy to help out with the farm in exchange for rent. She said that would be great.

My younger sister called back and said that she did want the wood. I rode with Tim to her place and we dropped it off. My sister hired me to come back in the morning to help stack it. I said I would be happy to.

When we got back to Tim’s place, I left right away and drove to McCall to do my cat sitting opportunity. While I was there petting the cat, I remembered that I had signed up to bring a young couple soup tonight. They had just had a baby a couple weeks ago. I wouldn’t have time to go home and make soup before dinner time, so I thought about my options. I remembered that Ridley’s grocery store had a salad bar. I wondered if they had hot soup on the salad bar.

I left and drove straight to Ridley’s. The salad bar did have hot soup, cream of potato. I bought some and when I got back in the truck I called the lady in charge of the food train to get the address I needed to go to. She apologized and said that she thought she had told everyone but the young couple didn’t need anymore meals. I said that was ok.

On the drive home, I decided that I would just eat the soup myself and I drank it out of the container as I drove. As soon as I finished it my stomach cramped up. Who knew what was in that soup and I had taken a risk by eating it.

When I got to Council, I went straight to a drop in pet sitting opportunity. I threw up the soup as soon as I arrived and I instantly felt better. I was glad I made it there before it came back up. I fed the dogs and cats and petted them. Then I went home.

Angel was still lying in bed watching TV and my sister was in her bed sick. Angel still didn’t have a fever and said she was feeling better. I asked her if she had been watching TV all day. She laughed and said yes. I kissed her and left again to clean the bank, half a block away.

The bank was easy to clean. I had thoroughly cleaned it on Friday and it hadn’t gotten dirty. It took me an hour and half and I got home at 8:30 pm. I talked to my sister for a few minutes. She was feeling worse. Then I went upstairs and got into bed with Angel. We cuddled up and I read her a chapter of a Magic Treehouse book. I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. At 10 pm I turned out the light and went to sleep.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
