Dear Diary,

Good morning God ,

  • I am grateful for cooler weather.
  • I am grateful for knees.
  • I am grateful for guidance.
  • I am grateful for walks.
  • I am grateful for love.
  • I am grateful for clouds.

Thank you, I love you!

I woke up at 6 am. I wrote my blog until 7 am. Then I got up and let out the nanny goats, chickens and guineas. I came back inside and dozed off for a half hour. I got up again, made my tea, topped off the dogs and cats food and took a bath. When I got out of my bath, I sent my “good morning” friend their good morning messages. (If you would like to be added to my list, let me know and I will add you). I wore my blog some more. I finished writing it, edited it and posted it. Then I started on today’s blog post and planned out my food for the day. I will have a smoothie with mango, cantaloupe and fresh squeezed OJ and a big salad this evening.

Then I went over my plans for today. I plan on going to Christopher’s at around noon to start packing the few things I’m taking to Idaho. At 1 pm a lady coming to pick up the trundle bed. Then at 2:30 pm I’m meeting a new friend at the Rockdale library.

I made my smoothie and drank half of it. Then, I went outside and put fresh water in the duck pools and gave all the birds some chicken feed. I fed the goats my food scraps from making my smoothie and gave all the animals fresh water. I came inside and read Olive Kitteridge for a couple of hours until it was time to swap the goats.

Swapping the goats went very well, without incident. The nanny’s got put in their pen and the billys got let out. Next I drove to Christopher’s. I greeted him when I arrived. He had a frown on his face and something seemed to be bothering him. He spoke to me very briskly and I wasn’t sure what was going on. I asked him what was going on but he wouldn’t tell me.

The lady coming to pick up my trundle bed messaged me letting me know that she was on her way. I told her I would meet her at the gate. Christopher grumpily helped me load the bed onto the trailer and hooked it up to my truck hitch. I told him thank you and suggested we talk after the lady came to get the bed. I drove the trailer down to the gate and the lady buying the bed pulled up right as I got there. She was very friendly and we chatted while I helped her load the bed into the back of her suv. She is moving to Texas from Illinois to be closer to her grandkids. I told her I was moving to Idaho for a similar reason, to be closer to my family and grandkids. I informed her that the winter in Texas will be much milder than in Illinois but the summers are long and very hot. We wished each other the best and I drove back up to the house.

Christopher seemed to be in a much better mood and we sat outside and chatted until it was time for me to go to town to meet with a recently made friend. We wanted to spend some time getting you know each other better and had made plans to meet at the library. My friend was parked outside of the library when I pulled in. I got out and she walked over and asked if I had received her message that the library was closed. I told her that I hadn’t. We decided to drive over to a park instead.

We sat at a picnic table at the park and talked for a couple hours. We had great conversations about living by faith and listening to the Holy Spirits guidance. She lives her life through faith like I do. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and felt blessed to attract such a wonderful person into my life. We made plans to get together when I come back to Texas in the spring.

When I left the park, I drove to Rita and Val’s. I swapped the goats and fed the outside dogs. Inside the house, I fed the indoor dogs and cats their wet food. Then I made myself a big salad and ate it while I watched a yucky movie called Texas Killing Fields. When the movie was over, I closed in the goats and chickens and guineas. The full moon was amazing and I watched it for a while feeling grateful to experience such beauty in this life. Then I went inside and got into bed. I fell asleep at around 9:30 pm listening to The Courage to Be Disliked.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria

P.S. this blog post was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
