Dear diary
I woke up at 5 AM. I wrote my blog for a while, then I let out the chickens, ducks and geese. I laid back down and finished writing my blog and posted it. Angel woke up and we snuggled in bed for a few minutes. She went in the house to eat breakfast. I fell asleep and dozed off for a little while. A half hour later, I woke up again and went in the house. I greeted Christopher and made my tea and a smoothie. My smoothie today was bananas, apples strawberries, cherry juice, and fresh pineapple juice. Angel finished up her breakfast and we got ready to go to farm-sit.
On the way to farm-sit we picked up Tracey. We had a great time farm-sitting. After taking care of the animals, Tracey helped me go through my lines for the play while we sat with the dogs and petted them. Tracey is so good with animals. I’ve never met anyone that connects with animals they way he does. At his house, the farm animals will all gather around his place, even though they have the entire farm to walk around on. He definitely is gifted with animals and I can see why, he has a gentle spirit and he understands what the animals are communicating to him.
I dropped off Tracey and drove to Rockdale. We went through the car wash and picked up 3 yorkies that I will be pet sitting until Friday. I’ve pet-sat them many times before and they are great fun. They are like little amoebas running around all over the place 😂. I drove home and got the yorkies settled in. I’ve stopped boarding animals at my home unless they are small and easy going. The yorkies are both of those and they ran around happily playing with Angel. While that was going on, I laid down and took a short nap before play practice.
Play practice started at 1 pm and ended at around 6 pm. Today we had to be off book and after practicing my lines with Tracey that morning, I knew I could do it. We all had fun at play practice and did great being off book. We laughed a lot and the energy was lighthearted. When practice was over, I picked up Angel from my adult daughter. She had gotten Angel from Christopher earlier that day so that they could spend time together. She wants to spend as much time as she can with Angel before we move to Idaho. I know it’s going to be hard on her with us gone. She won’t have any family left in Texas and I wish I could take her with us. I also know that she has carved out a wonderful life for herself here and wants to stay, for a while longer at least. She came to Texas with me when she was 14 years old. The change was difficult for her, especially after Angel was born 7 months later; but she’s strong and amazing and she got through it. I am really proud of her and I know she is quite capable of being here in Texas on her own.
I got Angel and we followed a beautiful rainbow to my farm-sitting opportunity. It had stormed with thunder and lightning earlier and the rainbow was radiant in the sunlight. Angel wanted to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and I told her we would follow it to see if we could get to the end. We picked up Tracey on the way to farm-sit and we never did find to the end of the rainbow. Maybe there is no ending to the rainbows.
When we arrived at the house, I couldn’t find one of the dogs. An older dog named Ellie. She is always up on the deck when I arrive. She has trouble walking and never goes very far. I searched around and found her in the back shed. The storm must have scared her. With Tracey’s help we got her back on the deck and I fed her.
We took care of the rest of the animals and I put Ellie inside for the night. As we were leaving, we stopped and played in a little creek for a while. It was running high from all the rain. Bits jumped in and almost got swept away in the current but he swam to shore and got out before I could get to him. What a wonderful little creek that property has running through it. It’s a beautiful piece of property and I feel so grateful to get to play on it while I’m farm-sitting.
I dropped off Tracey and drove home. We arrived a little before 9 PM and as I was coming up the driveway, the garbage can was in the middle of it. Christopher must have started to take the garbage can down to the road since tomorrow was garbage day. As I parked my truck, I noticed the birds were not put away for the night. I walked up to the house and noticed the bucket where Christopher throws his beer bottles and cans was overflowing and cans were laying on the ground all around it. In the house Christopher was asleep, sprawled out on top of his bed.
Angel get ready for bed while I let the yorkies out and put them to bed. Then I picked up the beer cans, put away the birds and started laundry. Angel and I went into the banana hut and got into bed. We talked to Tracey on the phone for a while, then I put on a unicorn meditation and we fell asleep at around 10:15 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
