Morning prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for rock tumblers.
- Thank you for watermelon.
- Thank you for friendships.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I awoke at 6 AM. I slept deeply and it felt nice to be back home after 2 weeks of overnight pet sitting. I wrote my blog until Angel woke up. I made her breakfast and made myself tea and a smoothie. It was potluck Sunday at church so I cut up sliced apples and made a caramel dip for out of cashews, dates and real maple syrup. Angel and I played a game of What’s the Point and then I took a long hot shower.
We got ready and walked to the Nazarene church to drop off my potluck dish. Then we walked to the Assembly of God church. Angel wanted to go there today because they were having the kids lead worship service, then we were coming back to the Nazarene church for the potluck because the church was having its annual meeting and Pastor Amy wanted me to be there.
At the Assembly of God church, I thought they were having Sunday school for the kids too but they weren’t and Angel was stuck sitting with me in the adult Sunday school class. The lesson was about getting ready for the 2nd coming of Jesus and I lost interest in it right away. I have a whole different perspective about that topic.
During church service, Angel and 2 other girls lead the singing along with the pastors wife. Angel didn’t enjoy it and sat down with me in the middle of the singing. When the service was about halfway done, Angel went to use the bathroom and I took that opportunity to leave and walk back over to the Nazarene church.
The Nazarene church service was still going on, so Angel and I waited in the dining room into it was over. Then everyone came into the dining room and we started setting up for the potluck. When everything was ready, we got our food and sat down. While we ate, Pastor Amy led the annual meeting.
When the meeting was over, Angel and I walked home and changed clothes, then we got our bicycles and rode to the Assembly of God church to participate in a Pinecar Derby Race. The kids in Girls Club, Royal Rangers and the Youth Group all made cars. Watching the race was a lot of fun. Angels car ended up winning against all the other girls cars and she got second place in the final race against the winners of the boys and youth group. She was super excited to have won and received a gold and silver medal.

When we got home from the races. We played a few games of What’s the Point and I laid down to rest while Angel watched movies in her room on her DVD player. I feel asleep and slept for a couple of hours. When I woke up, I was really groggy and I laid there watching a movie on my phone about a couple that survived being lost in the snowy mountains in Idaho. It was an ok movie but wasn’t very believable and was actually pretty cheesy.

I got up and made Angel dinner. Then I walked to M&W and got my gratitude sign. As soon as I got home, Angel and I went to bed and read a book called The Way of Liberationby Adyashanti until I was too tired to read anymore. I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at around 11 PM.

Morning prayer :
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for derby races.
- Thank you for rest.
- Thank you for wind.
- Thank you for Love.
I love you!
Dear diary,
I awoke at 5 AM. I wrote two days worth of blog posts and posted them. I hadn’t remembered to pick up my gratitude sign last night. I got dressed and walked to M&W. I took a picture of the sign and wiped it clean. Then I went back home and slept for another 45 minutes.
When I awoke again, I made myself tea and a smoothie and made Angel breakfast. After she ate, we got ready to leave to do a cleaning opportunity. Just as I was about to leave, I received a text from a pet sitting client asking if I could stop by her house to let her chickens out and feed her dogs. Her mom was doing it for her but she had become sick and couldn’t do it this morning. I said that I would be happy to do it and drove straight there. I let out the chickens and fed the dogs and gave them fresh water. Then I continued on to my cleaning opportunity.
I cleaned for 2 hours while Angel did her schoolwork. When I finished, I drove to my next cleaning opportunity and cleaned for another 2 hours. I enjoyed chatting with my clients and felt honored to be a part of creating beauty in their lives.
When we got home, I laid down and took a 2 1/2 hour nap while Angel played in her room. I have been feeling so tired lately. I slept hard and when I woke up, I fed Angel dinner. Then I drove to the laundry mat. The laundry mat was busy and I enjoyed people watching while our laundry was washing. I was still feeling groggy from my nap and it felt nice to sit and rest. I relaxed and listened to the sounds going on around me while passively watching people coming and going. The dryers hummed and the washing machines were sloshing water or whirring as they spun the water out of the clothes. Random beeping noises could be heard throughout the room as the machines finished their cycles. People were talking off and on over the sounds of the machines. It was pleasant to sit quietly and identify all the different sounds. It felt comforting to see the laundry in the dryers go round and round with all the different colored clothes.
When our laundry was finished, I went home and put the laundry away. Then, I walked over to the bank and cleaned it. After I finished the bank, I drove to a drop-in pet sitting opportunity. My client was home and said that she forgot to call to tell me that she didn’t need me. We chatted for a few minutes and I went back home.
My neighbor was outside when I got out of my truck. We chatted for a while, then I walked to the grocery store and bought some watermelon. I fed Angel dinner and we played a few games of What the Point.
We each took a shower. Then I soaked my feet in water with apple cider vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. I noticed this morning that I had some fungus going on between my toes on my left foot. While my feet were soaking, I talked to Aaron on the phone.
When I got off the phone, I dried off my feet and put anti-fungal cream on them. Angel and I made origami butterflies to sell at the farmers market. Then I read her one chapter of a Nancy Drew book. We went to bed and I wrote my blog notes. Then I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at 10:30 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
