Morning Prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for cleaning opportunities.
- Thank you for strawberries.
- Thank you for dandelions.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
Dear Diary,
I awoke at 3 AM. I wrote my blog and posted it. Then I put on a meditation and restlessly slept from 5 AM to 6:30 AM. I didn’t want to get up and my stomach hurt a little but I got up anyway and woke Angel up. I started her breakfast and lunch cooking and I made tea and a smoothie for myself. Then I took a quick shower and got ready to go to a cleaning opportunity.
It was a beautiful drive to the house I was cleaning. The house is located outside of Cambridge, in the country. Yellow and lavender colored spring flowers cover the hillsides and look like velvet against the green grass. Mostly the flowers are arrowleaf balsamroot and camas. They are edible too and I want to harvest some to eat.
When we arrived, I chatted with my client and got started cleaning while Angel did her schoolwork. I got the house nice and clean. Then I cleaned a 5th wheel that belongs to my clients daughter and is on the same property.
On the way home, I drove the country roads. It was a blissful slow paced drive and I soaked in the incredible scenery. I wasn’t sure where the road I was driving on would end up but I was hoping it was Indian Valley and that is exactly where it took us.
When we got settled in at home. I sorted Angels toys with her and we ended up with a small box of toys to give away. I walked to the thrift store with the box and donated it. Then I did a little shopping while I was there. I found an old antique citrus press juicer that is really neat. It was marked $1.00…sold! I also found an old spell check machine that Angel can use for her schooling. It needs batteries though before I can see if it works.

After the thrift store, I fed Angel lunch. She ate and anxiously waited for her friend to come over and play. Her friend was at the store below us waiting for her mom. Angel kept going downstairs to see if they were coming yet. After a while, they came upstairs. Angel played with her friend and her friends mom (who is my friend) and I sat in the kitchen and talked.
They stayed for about 40 minutes until it was time for Angel to go to play practice. Angel bicycle over to practice and I laid on the daybed and wrote some of my blog. Then I walked to the grocery store and bought batteries. I put the batteries in the spell-checker when I got home and it worked. Yay!
Angel came home from play practice and I showed her the spell-checker machine. She really liked it and started spelling words to see if they were spelled correct. She played with the spell-checker for a while, then I sent her to my friend Camille’s with 2 bags of food scraps to give to their chickens.
I walked to the bank and cleaned it. While walking home, I suddenly had to pee really bad. I was almost home but I wasn’t able to hold it going up the stairs and a bunch leaked out before I made it to the bathroom. I took off my wet clothes and cleaned up. I can’t believe that happened.
I called Aaron and we had a great talk about sitting with our feelings. When I got off the phone, I took a long hot shower. After my shower, I made Angel dinner and messaged my friend asking her to send Angel home and she did. Angel came home and ate, then she took a shower and I wrote some of my blog.
When Angel got out of the shower, I read her a chapter of William H. McGuffey, Boy Reading Genius. Then we went to bed early. I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at around 10 PM.

Morning Prayer:
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for mornings.
- Thank you for sunshine.
- Thank you for laughter.
- Thank you for love.
I love you!
I awoke at 6 AM. I had written my blog last night. I edited it and posted it. Then I took a long hot shower. I woke Angel up and made her breakfast and lunch. I packed up Angels lunch and made myself tea and a smoothie. Angel and I played a couple games of What’s the Point. (What is the point really?). Then we went on a bicycle ride on the Weiser River Trail. We bicycled and walked for a ways.

Angel asked if she could bicycle to a friend of ours that is 74 years old. I said we could stop in and say hi only if her curtains were open and we were sure she was awake. We bicycled over there and her curtains were open and she was awake. We visited with for a while, then we bicycled home. Angel went to jujitsu and I walked to yoga. When I arrived at the Nazarene church to do yoga there was a bunch of people there attempting to figure out why a smoke alarm kept going off. So yoga was canceled, then Angel showed up at the church on her bicycle saying that jujitsu was canceled. Ok then, I figured that was a sign we were meant to leave early to go to McCall.
We went home and left to do a cleaning opportunity in McCall. It was our first time going to McCall in over a month since the highway had been closed. The highway opened on Monday and I admit I had been enjoying the slower paced life of not going to McCall and was a little bummed when the highway was fixed. Regardless the drive was beautiful. On the way, I stopped at a cat sitting opportunity. I checked on the cat, gave her fresh food and water and scooped her litter box.
On the drive, Angel and I talked and listened to inspirational music. Angel informed me that I was missing out on things by not watching movies very often. I told her that watching movies would mean that I would be missing out on real life because movies are made up. I told her I prefer to watch the “big screen” as I pointed out the truck windows at the mountains and the sky. The “big screen” is way better and you can interact with it. Angel scoffed at my response and insisted that watching movies was better.
When we arrived in McCall, Angel and I had a bet on whether there was snow still there. Angel won because she bet that there would be snow and sure enough, there were piles of it here and there. Since we had left early, we had plenty of time, so we stopped at Flying M and I got a chai latte with coconut milk and Angel got a hot chocolate. Then we went to Natural Grocers and I bought a bunch of healthy snacks for Angel and some produce.
When we arrived at my cleaning house, my clients were out of town and were having construction done on the outside of their house. The entire front porch was torn up and blocked. There was no way for me to get inside. I messaged my client and told her we would reschedule. Then I shifted gears and decided to clean a vacation house that I had scheduled for tomorrow. I messaged that client and she was happy to have me clean a day early.
The vacation house took me two hours to clean. I listened to an audiobook while I cleaned and Angel did her schoolwork. When I finished, we went down to New Meadows to do another cleaning opportunity. That cleaning went good and when I was done, we went to Zim’s hot springs.
We hadn’t been to Zim’s since the highway closed and it was nice to be there again. There weren’t many people there which was great. Angel swam around with her pool noodles while I floated on my back in the deep end fully relaxing my body. I was so relaxed that I feel asleep for a few minutes and had vivid dreams.

It was after 7 PM when we left Zim’s and when we got home, I talked to Aaron on the phone while Angel bicycled over to my older sisters to tell her something. Angel came home just as I got off the phone. I read her a really long chapter from a Nancy Drew Diaries book. Then we went to bed. I wrote my blog notes, put on a sleep meditation and drifted to sleep at around 11 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
