Dear Diary,
I awoke at 5:30 AM. I woke up feeling panicked but it only lasted a few minutes. I went to the bathroom and started to write my blog. Angel woke up and I told her it was still too early to get up. She went back to bed and I continued writing my blog. I wrote two days worth and finished it just as the sun was starting to come up over the mountain.
I made Angel breakfast and made myself tea and a smoothie. I woke Angel up and we played What’s the Point while she ate. Then I rode my bicycle to a pet sitting opportunity. I checked on the dogs and cats and gave them fresh food and water. When I got back home, I played What’s the Point with Angel some more until it was time for her to go to jujitsu.
Angel rode her bicycle to jujitsu and I walked over to the Nazarene church to go to yoga class. I thoroughly enjoyed yoga class. The lady that teaches the class is wonderful and I appreciate her teaching style. I am grateful to be attending a yoga class again.
On my way home from yoga class, I stopped at the thrift store. Aaron was in there and we greeted each other with smiles. We briefly said hello, then I went off to shop while he paid for his items. I found a bunch of stuff I wanted but I didn’t have my purse with me. I asked if I could leave my basket behind the counter and come right back and was told “of course”. It only took me a few minutes to walk a block to my place and buy my purchases.
At home, I put everything away and carried our laundry to my older sisters and started it washing. Then I walked down the block and gave the bank key to a lady who is going to clean the bank for me on Friday. I will at a game and movie night with the Girls Club that night.
I walked home and Angel was mentioning that she wanted to make enough money to buy a farm set that is at a local gift shop. The gift shop is below our apartment and it’s called Huptye. I suggested doing a lemonade stand, after all I had just bought a case of lemons from Azure. She was excited about that idea and we walked to the store to buy supplies.
When we got home, I walked to my sisters and switched laundry. Then Angel helped me juice the lemons and I made a gallon of lemonade. We made several trips across the street carrying everything we needed to the corner where we wanted to set up. We quickly set up and Angel started getting business right away.

The rest of the day, I was busy making more lemonade or getting more cups or running the lemonade stand while Angel walked around to drum up some business, which worked. I did get some time to sit in the sun and talk to Aaron on the phone. Which was nice.
We had the stand set up for 3 hours and we went through 3 gallons of lemonade. Angel was really happy with her earnings. She had enough to buy the farm set she wanted and she wanted to spend all of her money on it right away. I told her that she needed to save some of her money because now she was in charge of buying her own supplies for her business and she would have to use her own money to buy everything she needed for her next lemonade stand. I said that she would have enough to buy the farm set after she sold more lemonade. She didn’t like it but she understood the process.
After taking the lemonade stand down, I rode my bicycle to a pet sitting opportunity. I played frisbee with the dogs and they ran and ran and ran. When I got home, I drove to the camper to get it ready to be moved on Saturday. I hooked water up to it and connected the drain hose to empty the tanks into the sewage hook up. The black tank wasn’t emptying, so I stuck a stick up it to unclog it and held the drain hose so it would catch anything that came out. It was a long disgusting process but I finally got the black tank fully cleaned out.
When I got home, I immediately showered and scrubbed myself down from head to toe. Angel had been at my older sisters and she came home and took a shower too. I made her dinner and talked to Aaron on the phone. Then I read to Angel a chapter from William H. McGuffey, Boy Reading Genius. We went to bed and I wrote my blog notes. Then I put on a sleep meditation and drifted off to sleep at around 10 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
