Monday: Busy Day, Pet Sitting and an Apartment

Monday March 3, 2025

Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for healthy food.
  • Thank you for children.
  • Thank you for board games.
  • Thank you for opportunities.
  • Thank you for clarity.

I love you!

I awoke at 4 AM. I had a busy day planned. I was going to do construction clean up from 7 AM to 9:30 AM, a house cleaning opportunity at 10 AM to 12 PM, a cleaning/organizing opportunity from 1 PM to 5 PM and cleaning the bank from 5:30 PM to 7 PM. I wrote my blog until Angel woke up at 6 AM. I made her breakfast and made myself tea and a smoothie. My 10 AM house cleaning job canceled so I pushed the construction cleanup back to 8 AM, so I could have time to make some juice. Just as I was leaving to go to Lila’s, my friend Brett showed up. I had hired him to help with the construction cleanup. He stayed at the camper and played a board game with Angel. I went to Lila’s, fed her, let her out and went back home.

I made a gallon on pineapple/apple juice while Brett and Angel continued to play board games. When I finished, the clean up seemed to take forever. I was complicated without running water. I heated water in the teapot and poured it in the sink to wash the dishes but the sink water kept getting full of juice pulp from the juicer pieces and I had to change the water several times. Finally, I got everything washed and we were late getting to the job site.

We arrived at the construction site at 8:30 AM and I showed Brett what we were cleaning up. Angel walked a few blocks away to the rec center to play pickleball. Brett and I worked for 3 hours. We put empty boxes and trash from around the construction site into a big trailer. When the trailer was full, we picked up any small garbage we could find and put it in two big empty boxes. It was a lot of lifting and bending over and even though my body had less inflammation than when I worked in the construction site the other day. I still felt worn out after 3 hours.

Angel arrived back from pickleball just before we finished up. After we were done, Brett headed home and we went to Lila’s to let her out. Then we went to the grocery store and drove out in the country to my cleaning/organizing opportunity. Angel did her schoolwork while I helped my client. My client had me organize her linen closet, put up a couple of blinds, put up a soap dish and clean the bathroom. I enjoyed her company and enjoyed helping her with what she needed.

When we got back to Council, I picked up packages from my older sisters and went to clean the bank. Angel and Bits stayed in the truck while I cleaned. I parked where I could see them while I cleaned. I listened to a memoir written by Diana Ross called Secrets of a Sparrow. It was really good and I learned a lot about Diana Ross that I hadn’t known before.

After cleaning, we fed Lila and let her out. Then we went home, brushed our teeth and went to bed. Angel read one of her children’s books aloud and I read a few chapters from a Magic Treehouse book. I received a message from a lady that I am wanting to rent an apartment from downtown. It’s a one bedroom and it’s $700 a month including all utilities. She is coming to town Saturday to show me the apartment and it will be available April 1. I let her know that I wanted it and I am ready to sign the lease. She said that she will let me know later it when the week what time she will be in town on Saturday and we can look at the apartment and sign the papers. I’m nervous about paying $700 a month in rent since I have a $600 a month truck payment also but it’s a really really great deal with the utilities included. The land where I’m staying in the camper is a temporary situation just to help me out. Plus the camper is tiny and it’s a tight fit for Angel and I. I did fix it up really cute though and we just got settled into it. I like the camper but it will be nice having more living space. I’m excited to have more living space. I’ve already been thinking about what kind of furniture I want to have. I want small, simple furniture and I want lots of bright cheerful colors. If moving into the apartment isn’t the best decision right now then I prayed that it won’t work out. If it is the best decision then I will be signing the lease on Saturday.

I put on a sleep meditation and wrote my blog notes. We fell asleep at around 10:30 PM.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
