Dear Diary,
Good morning God,
- Thank you for this day.
- Thank you for mornings.
- Thank you for hot springs.
- Thank you for scrabble.
- Thank you for snow.
- Thank you for breath.
I love you!
I awoke at 4:30 am. I played wordle and connections and wrote my blog. At 7 am, I finished writing and edited and posted my blog. I woke Angel up and she ate leftover apple pie for breakfast. I made tea for myself and packed up leftover smoothie to take with me.
We drove up the mountain to McCall to do my last day of drop-in cat sitting. I wasn’t sure how the roads would be but they were fine. I checked on the cats and fed them. I touched up any messes they might have made and scooped out the litter box. Then we went back down the mountain all the way to Council. Stopping in New Meadows on the way to check on Lucky and let her out.
At home, my sister was awake. Her grandson had stayed the night. He is the same age as Angel and Angel was excited to play with him. My sister said that Angel could stay there overnight so the kids could spend a lot of time together. That sounded great to me, then I could have a break from being a mom. Angel was happy about staying over too.
I left to go split and sort wood. It was a beautiful sunny day and I enjoyed being outside. I helped with the wood for 2 hours, then I went to city hall to sit in on a meeting for the newspaper. I was asked to go and do a write up about the content of the meeting. It was a quick meeting and it was over within a half hour. I was one of 3 people sitting in on the meeting and when it was over, I introduced myself to the city council members. They were friendly and welcomed me to town.
Next, I drove to Cambridge to do a cleaning opportunity. I listened to Craven Manor on the drive there. That book had started out good but it was quickly becoming predictable and silly. I cleaned for 3 hours and listened to the audiobook for the first hour and a half. My client has been gone and came home when I was halfway finished cleaning. We talked while I cleaned and she had me do some extra things for her.
On the way home, I continued to listen to the audiobook. Instead of getting better, it was getting more and more predictable. Regardless, I kept listening to it. I arrived home and when I went inside Angel was playing Minecraft on the Nintendo and my sisters grandson was playing on his phone. I talked to my sister a few minutes. Then I went upstairs and laid down.
I fell asleep for 20 minutes and when I woke up it was time to go clean the bank. I walked 3 houses down to the bank. I wasn’t very dirty and took me an hour to clean. I finished the audiobook while I cleaned and I was glad to move on to a better book.
I walked home and made a smoothie for tomorrow. Then I left to go to New Meadows to be with Lucky. Bits and her had a great time playing together while I wiped down the kitchen cupboards. I’m cleaning a little at a time since my clients had asked me to clean the house before they get home on January 4th.
I went to bed at 9 pm and wrote my blog notes. At 9:30 pm, I turned the light and fell asleep.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
