Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for mornings.
  • Thank you for strength.
  • Thank you for love.
  • Thank you for people.

I love you!

I woke up at 4:30 am. I wrote my blog and posted it. Then I played wordle and connections. Connections was a tough one today and I lost. At 6:30 am I fell asleep and woke up again at 8:30 am. The dogs were cuddled up all around me. They are such sweet pups. Angel was awake and talking on her phone to Christopher in the other room. I let out the dogs and fed them. I made Angel grilled cheese sandwiches for breakfast and tea for myself. Then I stripped the bed and started the bedding in the wash. I dusted and vacuumed the entire house and when I finished, I switched the laundry.

Angel and I got ready to go swimming at Zim’s hot springs. We left Bits at the pet sitting house with the other dogs and picked up Brett. On our way out of town, we stopped at all 3 grocery stores in McCall. First we stopped at Ridley’s to get kombucha and raspberries. They were both really expensive there, so we went to Natural Grocer. There weren’t any raspberries there but there was kombucha at a good price. The cashier was really friendly and mentioned that she had seen me before at Zim’s Hot Springs. I told her we were going there today. She said it would be busy today and when it’s busy there she calls it a “people soup”. I laughed at that and told her that yes it probably would be a “people soup” today but we were going anyway.

The last store we stopped at was Albertsons. They had double packs of raspberries at a good price. I bought 2 double packs and an olipop. Angel was excited at have raspberries to eat and ate one of the two packs on the way to the hot springs, while Brett and I talked and listened to music. It was a beautiful drive through the canyon. The sun was shining bright. Sunshine looks so pretty reflecting off of snow ❄️.

We arrived at Zim’s at 12:15 pm, shortly after it opened. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. We hung out in the deep end where there weren’t any other people. I stretched and floated on my back, fully relaxing my body. When I fully relax my body, my mind relaxes too. I go into a “zone” and receive messages from the Holy Spirit. They are usually messages of guidance and clarity. I drift into a sort of dream state and suddenly I’ll get an insight. Sometimes the message comes so quickly, it startles me and I’ll bolt up. It takes me a few seconds to realize where I am. Fully relaxing my body has been one of the most healing things I’ve learned to do for myself. I always do it when I go swimming but I rarely remember to do it at other times. I used to do it before going to sleep. I’m going to start doing that again.

We stayed at the pool for 2 hours. We played catch with Angel for a while until she found a friend to play with. I got a lot of sunshine on my skin and soaked up a lot of vitamin D. I might be able to keep my Texas tan by going to the hot springs all winter.

When we left and got to McCall, we went to a couple of thrift stores. I found a few things I needed and Angel got a big plastic toy horse. When we got to my pet sitting house, everyone ate. Then Angel watched Paw Patrol and Spirit on TV while Brett and I played scrabble. He won the first game and I barely won the second game. We have a scrabble addiction going on and I don’t think we will ever get tired of it.

I took Brett home and when we got back we straightened up the house and got ready for bed. Angel organized the pillows on the couch and it looked really nice when she finished. We got in bed on top of the clean bedspread and used blankets to keep us warm so we wouldn’t mess up the clean sheets. Angel read for a half hour while I wrote my blog. Then I read her the rest of a Magic Treehouse book. I finished writing my blog and completed it at around 10:30 pm. I read it to Angel and she approved. I posted it and we fell asleep right away.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
