Lethargic, Nap and Weiser River

Dear Diary,

Good morning God

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for children.
  • Thank you for kindness.
  • Thank you for cleaning and pet sitting opportunities
  • Thank you for love.

I love you!

I woke up at 4:45 am. I had slept through the night. I played wordle and connections, then I got busy writing my blog. I was determined to get caught up again. I got 3/4 caught up and fell sleep again at around 7 am. I slept deeply and woke up at 9:30 am. Wow, the morning was practically over. Angel was playing in her room next to mine and I asked her if she was hungry. She enthusiastically said, “yes!”.

“What would you like?”, I asked her.

She said, “guess”.

I said, “oatmeal”.

“No”, she responded.

“Ok, then waffles”, I suggested.

“No, you know what it is”, she said.

“Bean taco”, I teased.

“It’s grilled cheese sandwiches”, she yelled.

I laughed and told her I would make them after I made my bed. She asked if she could take a bath and said she was feeling chilled. She got in the bath while I made her sandwiches. When they were finished, I brought them to get in the bathroom. She said thank you. I asked her if she wanted to go to homeschool co-op today. She said she want feeling very good and wanted to stay home. That was fine with me. I was feeling extra tired and had inflammation. I had been straying from eating whole food and had been eating a lot of bread. Bread makes me feel lethargic and gives inflammation. Even my homemade fresh ground wheat sourdough bread. I made myself tea and a smoothie. My smoothie had 10 bananas, spirulina, turmeric, homemade wild apple juice and filtered water. I put the smoothie in the fridge to have later and warmed up the last of the vegetable soup I had made Monday. I ate the soup with a piece of homemade sourdough bread. Enough with the bread already! 😂. I felt like a complete zombie after that and didn’t want to do anything I had planned to do. I forced myself to grind up some wheat berries and start sourdough bread rising for a lady at church who wanted me to make a loaf for her. Then I forced myself to gather up the recycling and take the dogs on a walk to the recycling center 3 blocks away. We met up with my sister who was driving from work to have lunch at home. She took Little Bit to the house in her car and I walked Huckleberry back.

When I got home, Angel wanted 2 more grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. I made them for her and sat on the couch talking to my sister and drinking my smoothie. Angel finished doing her schoolwork and played upstairs. When my sister went back to work, I laid in bed and wrote more of my blog. I was feeling so lethargic, I couldn’t keep my eyes open and fell asleep. I slept hard for 2 hours. When I woke up, it took me a while to become fully awake. I finally got up and found Angel sitting on the couch watching a movie. I checked on the sourdough bread. It was rising well.

It was going to be dark soon and I knew that I needed to go on a walk to clear the cobwebs out of my head and get my blood flowing faster. My sister would be home any minute and Angel wanted to stay home watching her movie to wait for her. I got bundled up and hearted (headed) out with Bits. We walked to the Weiser river and it was really nice by the water. I took a video and while I was videoing, a deer came along and walked across the water.

The walk had done the trick and I felt much better by the time I got home. My sister was in her room and Angel was still watching TV. I had Angel get off the TV and I made her grilled cheese sandwiches and cut up cantaloupe for dinner. I talked to my sister and checked on the bread. It looked perfect. I punched it down and started it on a second rise. I talked to my boys on the phone and Angel and I will be going to Salt Lake City to spend Thanksgiving with them on November 30.  Yay!

Angel and I got ready for bed. I read her a Magic Treehouse book and we had a half hour of quiet reading time. I started doing the workbook on forgiveness that a lady at church had let me borrow and Angel read Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown. After reading time, Angel played in her room and listened to an audiobook called Peril in the Palace. I wrote my blog and read some of a Louis L’Amour book.

We turned off the lights and went to sleep at around 10:30 pm.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
