Dear Diary,

Good morning God,

  • Thank you for this day.
  • Thank you for the full moon.
  • Thank you for an abundance of everything I need.
  • Thank you for walks.
  • Thank you for hot springs.
  • Thank you for breath.

I love you!

I woke up at 5 am and wrote my blog. I edited and posted it and played wordle and connections. At 7:15 am, I got up and went downstairs. I said good morning to my sister and made tea. I gave Little Bit and Huckleberry a bath. Huckleberry loved his bath, he’s a chocolate lab and loves water. Little Bit did not like his bath, chihuahua/terrier mixes aren’t as fond of water 😂. My sister left for work and I went upstairs to wake up Angel. She was already awake and playing in her room. “I have a cleaning opportunity today”, I told her, “we have to be ready to leave in an hour. You can do your schoolwork while I clean”.

Angel groaned, “why can’t I stay home while you’re working?”

“Because you’re nine year old and I will be gone all day”, I replied.

Angel wasn’t ready to give up on her idea, “Aunt T. works a few blocks away and she can check on me”, she argued.

“That is not an option”, I informed her, “please get dressed and what would you like for breakfast”.

Angel sighed dramatically and mumbled, “two grilled cheese sandwiches”.

I went downstairs and made Angel her breakfast. While she ate, I made 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for her lunch and a smoothie for myself. My smoothie had in it, 10 bananas, spirulina, homemade elderberry syrup, fresh made wild apple juice and filtered water.

Angel finished getting ready to go and there was just enough time before we had to leave to take the dogs for a walk. Huckleberry loves to go on walks and since I would be gone the rest of the day with Little Bit and I didn’t know if my sister would make it home for lunch, I wanted him to get some play time.

On our way out of town, I stopped at the post office and picked up my package of painting supplies. Yay! I had one more package arriving on Monday or Tuesday and then I should have everything I need to finish painting rocks. On the drive to McCall, we listened to a Diary of a Wimpy Kid audiobook. I’m surprised at how good those books are. They are really funny.

We got to McCall a few minutes early which gave me time to stop at Natural Grocers and get some groceries. I love Natural Grocers. I got bulk oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, sprouted wheat bread and a couple of kombuchas.

We arrived at my cleaning opportunity right on time. I met my client and her 6 year old daughter who had stayed home from school. Angel and her daughter started playing together right away. They were having so much fun together that I told Angel she could skip doing her schoolwork today but would have to make it up tomorrow on a Saturday.

My client had hired me to help her for 4 hours and we got started right away. We straightened up her living room and I cleaned the floors while she organized things. I washed her front windows and back sliding glass door inside and out. We cleaned up the TV room and I vacuumed it. She wanted to know if I could get the build-up off of her ceramic stove top. I told her I could and it looked like brand new when I finished. I got the stains out of her kitchen sink and cleaned the bath tubs and bathroom floors. My final project was to get her spare vacuum working. It took me less than 5 minutes to find the problem. There was a clog in the upper hose. I cleared it out and it worked perfectly. Success! She was very happy with my work and called me her cleaning coach. I love that! I had a lot of fun making her house beautiful and I will clean for her once a month.

After cleaning, we went to my friend Brett’s. He changed the oil in my truck for me, which I really really appreciated. I always make a big mess when I change my own oil. Brett also made some zucchini cookies and gave a bunch to Angel. Before I left, we made plans to possibly go to some natural hot springs early next week, depending on the weather, if it doesn’t snow.

On our way home, I stopped in New Meadows to meet pet sitting clients that I will pet sit for in December. We chatted for almost an hour and I met their sweet dog Lucky. They do construction and will more than likely hire me to help clean up construction sites. Yay! I’m excited to be getting more opportunities to bring in some income.

When we got home, I quickly dropped off the groceries and put them away. Then we went to church to do a craft night with the “girls club”. There were a lot of girls there Angel’s age and they ran around playing until it was time to start the craft. I talked with the lady in charge of girls club and I am going to start helping her run the club once I pass a background check, which I will. I also asked her if they had anyone that cleaned the church. She said that she does it currently for free but would be happy to pass it off to me and find out if the church was in a place to start paying someone. I would love to get to clean the church. I told her that if the church could pay me, that would be great but I would also do it for free if they couldn’t. She said she was cleaning the church tomorrow and I could come help her if I wanted. I said I would be there.

The girls club did two crafts with beads. They took quite a while to finish and we didn’t get home until 8:30 pm. Angel watched my sister play a video game while I cleaned up around the house. Then we went upstairs to get ready for bed. Angel didn’t want stories, she wanted to play in her room instead. I told her that was fine and I got into bed. I read a Lois L’Amour book and fell asleep at around 10:30 pm.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.

Love, Victoria
